stealth address at friends/relatives house, will it raise red flags?
 

Hi, I've managed to open up a user account on my laptop with vista, used ccleaner, i'm now ready for the 'stealth address', but i've got a problem:-

I can either use my sisters address (she has ebay already), but i'm worried this will this raise a red flag, as both IP's and ISPs are different (i have tmobile laptop usb) will Ebay think why has the address got 2 different IP's and a different phone number (voip)

Or can i use my neighbours address?

I don't think you'll have a problem using your sister's address. It's preferable really.

I dont think that's a very good idea, you do know that if you or she gets suspended it will cause the other one to get suspended.

she's on BT internet, I have a laptop with tmobile usb, which automatically gives me a different IP address each time I switch the laptop on. I was thinking of using her address, using voip against that address, so ebay couldn't match the phone number, IP would be different

If I or her get suspended, wouldn't that just suspend 1 account, as mine would have a different IP and voip number, or does Ebay also link against the house address, I thought Ebay linked 95% on the IP?

She has ebay already and if she gets suspended, I think my account would also be suspended for sharing the same address

What I think LAKEMAN meant was that if your sister gets suspended, then your link to her physical address may cause a problem.

Yes, that's what I meant. If you change a few letters around in the address you should be safe.

I think the same, you take big risk by using your sisters address. Because if she get suspended you will go to for sure. If your sister is only buying and selling random things ones a month the risk is smaller. But in the book you will find information about virtual addresses in the States. They don`t cost a lot and your 100% save than.

so ebay will link by the physical address as well as IP and phone number, maybe slightly changing the address might help

Hey Lucy try to open up a few more accounts now and just let them sit.

They can only link you because of the connection you have with your sister and that's the same physical address.

Your IP and phone number are fine unless its also linked to your sister's account - meaning its linked if she used your ip/number to log on or you used hers to access ebay/paypal.

Yes changing the address will help.

the connection would be the physical address, my ip is different and the phone number would be different, i plan on selling vero as i made hardly anything selling baby clothes that i got hold of last summer.

i've seen people sell vero time and time again on ebay making really good money, i plan on giving it a go, once i manage to figure out a stealth address
