Full 21 Day Holds on UK Accounts
 

I have some ‘FULL 21 day holds’ on a few of my accounts of recently. Is anyone else experiencing this?

PP is confirmed and account are 8+ months old with spending and browsing history. Payment where from eBay sales all between £5-50.

Tracking has been added straight away via PP + eB, which usually reduces the hold to 5-10 days, but on these accounts it still remains 21 days despite receiving feedback and tracking showing delivered.

Anyone else been coming across this?

How long have you been selling on the accounts?
Is it constant selling, or do you have month breaks/gaps?

Send them an email to manually get the account out of the hold loop.
Had that on one of my accounts and had to send them messages via their message system to get them off.

These holds are on all sales from the very 1st to the last. All sales occurred after the account were 6months+ in age. The account would have been used for buying and browsing from the start. Been selling on the accounts for 30-60 days without any breaks (from month 6).

Send eBay or PayPal the message?

So is this just a glitch, not anything to do with sales performance or account set up?

Paypal.
If the holds are off on the ebay side, sometimes the paypal side does not get the message.

Did you have any recent cases or anything selling differently?
That will cause the system to lockup as well.

Now the paypal hold is different than the ebay holds. If you send them a message they should adjust the system for you or at least give you a day when the holds totally fall off the radar.

No case or issues. From whats been sold, all have been delivered with positive feedback given.

After the 1st sale on all accounts I receive this message from PP:

"As a security precaution, payments you receive from now on will be placed in your pending balance for up to 21 days.

Your pending balance helps ensure there is money in your account in case problems arise with any of your transactions. The money still belongs to you, it's just temporarily unavailable to use.

Once you've met the requirements below, your future payments will usually be available to you within 24 hours:

Complete 10 transaction(s) without any issue (no buyer disputes, claims or returns)

Maintain your PayPal account in good standing for at least 60 day(s)

Access your money sooner

Your pending payments will become available sooner if you deliver your item or service quickly and update the order status in your PayPal account. Here's how it works:

If you sold an item: After you post the item, mark it as 'sent' in your PayPal account and provide the tracking number if available. Your funds should be available 7 days after the postage date (or 14 days if you're posting to outside the UK)"

Now I know this message is pretty generic, but holds are usually reduced once tracking has been added, but not in this case on over 10 accounts.

So I'll try sending a message via PayPal, but I'm wondering as to why they are on a full 21 day hold in the first place, as I have others that were used in the same manner with regular PP holds or nothing at all.

Yeah, you should send them a message. Thats the exact message I got on the said account and had to get in touch with them to remove it.

once you hit the 45 days and $4000 all my holds were gone
FWIW ALL my items had tracking numbers
