How to manage a pre 11/07 account

I just bought a pre 11/07 account with 100% feedback.

I am now scared to try to use this account for I fear I may make a mistake.

How should I go about changing the details on the account?

Don't change the details, use as-is. If you need a real address to buy things, set up a separate buyer's account.
