What info fo you use with cartmanger?

Hey,
I'm getting ready to setup my cartmanager account.. but i'm not sure if it's necessary to use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info or not??

Is there any way I should set this up? I want to use it in conjunction with a nice fresh paypal and ebay. (cookie /ip safe)

DO I need cartmanager if I have an ebay account from 2003 and want to use my own merchant account? I know in other threads that you do not have to fax info in if your account is pre 11/07 so would I still need to use cartmanager? I am using fastspring as my merchant and I dont think they share info. My other accounts were suspended but I have 3 accounts from 03 that havent been used.

Cartmanager comes in handy cause many brainwashed buyers insist on paying with PayPal.
Your merchant probably does not offer Paypal, so you can have peeps pay you with PP through Cartmanager.

No one on this forum has seemed to have heard about fastspring. They accept paypal as well. And I do know ebay has brainwashed buyers with this paypal mumbo jumbo lol

It is a payment processor just like ccnow from what I have been reading. They even set you up your own order page. You tell them what you will be selling, etc. If you have a pre 11/07 ebay account then you can use them to receive paypal payments for ebay transactions. I am just getting back on my feet and just sat up my fastspring account. The only problem is there feed are around 8% but my profits make up that in then some.

To accept paypal with cartmanager do you have to have a paypal account?? I just signed today and has paypal express for a option but asks for a API number and paypal address.

gurusgrafx 05-02-2009 10:53 PM

yeah you still have to have a paypal account to accept paypal through cartmanager. so if you have a good paypal account thats passed all the verifications but you cannot use it directly with ebay you can use it and it wont link to ebay because cartmanager puts a break in between the link. if that make sense.

I just lost mine to the 180 hold.... I guess its time to open another bank account :(

I *STILL* can't figure out how to use this type of thing with a pre 11/07 account. Why am I so stoopid?!?

aspkin 05-03-2009 07:33 AM

You linked your cart manager and eBay account already vicvelcro?

Then all you have to do is setup your payment processors, your default shipping cost, and you should be good to go. Cart Manager auto invoices buyers.

Vicvelcro 05-03-2009 07:49 AM

Have *NOT* linked. Have not been able to figure out how or where. I blame ebay for that part. Can't find any information about it. None whatsoever. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

I've looked around, nosed around, and scrounged around. Nothing within ebay gives any indication for how to use anything other than Paypal. In 10 years, I've never had a f'ing clue. A lot of people have mentioned how easy it is and that the pre 11/07 accounts are great for doing it. But nobody ever begins to say how. Just as vague as ebay. And it is really starting to grind my last nerve.

If I could make it as far as even getting *started*, I could likely figure out the rest, from there. But, since I can't get away from ebay/PP even for a fraction of a second, I feel doomed.

aspkin 05-03-2009 07:58 AM

Oh, well you don't link from eBay's end. You link from Cart Manager's end, like I showed in that one post a couple weeks back. That's how you link accounts.

It's the same with all other 3rd party services.

Vicvelcro 05-03-2009 08:15 PM

Then how does ebay know to hand the transaction over to the processor for checkout?

Maybe this has been my problem all along. I've been looking at the wrong end...

aspkin 05-03-2009 08:48 PM

It's called a token, you authorize cart manager to hook up with your eBay account so the two can talk.. get it? :)

Vicvelcro 05-03-2009 08:55 PM

I think I do. It makes your diagram (elsewhere on here) more comprehensible. I think you just filled in the missing piece I've been searching for.
