Strange Paypal "Limitation"
 

So one of my business accounts was recently limited. I can still accept payments and transfer money to my account. I took a screenshot. Has this happened to anyone or do you know what it means?

Looks like they want those docs sent in. They will probably start taking away more privileges the longer you delay getting them the info. So you have 2 choices, submit docs and hope for the best. Or start moving your money out (safely) before the whole account gets limited.

Thanks, the bulk of the money has been removed. Its strange that they want a SS after getting a Tax ID, its a stealth account but has my real name but my SS is tainted.

How do you submit a SS? A copy of a SS card?

When I talked on the phone when upgrading to a business account it asked for the last 4 of my social, I told them on the phone that I didn't want to use my SS so the Paypal rep said "Just type in 1111 then".

Don't want to lose this account but yeah, I'm afraid if I keep using it as usual I'll lose it. About 3k per month goes through it.

That was terrible advice. Could be what lead to limitation.

I would consider this a difficult limitation to get undone submitting documents since they are asking for SS.

You could try to call and if you get the right person, you could get the limitation removed without providing the SS.

Personally I would try to submit the documents excluding the SS and then call them explaining you had issues with your identity theft before and prefer not to use it. You would need a sympathetic USA rep though

I would not submit a SSN to Paypal ever .....
slowly take your money out and burn the account and start another one....
