what to do about paypal phone call
 

Does anyone know what the next step is when you fail the paypal phone verification and cannot access the secret code they mail you? I'm assuming fax in papers? Should I go ahead and keep entering the wrong code until they lock the account and ask for additional info?

FYI - It was a partially verified account (prepaid cc only) that was linked to several other dup accounts. I'm going to close all of the linked accounts and start fresh, but paypal also put a temp hold on several payments/donations I made. I want to make sure those people get paid.

I even added a 2nd cc + savings account to become fully verified hoping that would trump the failed phone verification. No luck...

ADMIN ok, move to vip section? would be preferable or it will tighten up policy

So I finally broke down and made the call to Paypal. Strange thing is, there was an option in the telephone queue to verify limited accounts. I selected that option and a second later heard "Your account has been restored." So I never had to talk to a rep. The whole call took less than a minute and I used a boost prepaid cell. Anyone else run into this?

Here's everything I did:

1) Added checking account
2) Added new prepaid cc
3) Added boost prepaid cell
4) Went to Paypal Help section and selected option to call in (instead of email). That presented a 6 digit security code good for 1 hour.
5) Called Paypal from boost cell registered on the account
6) Typed in secret code from website
7) Typed in last 8 of checking account# and selected option for limited accounts.
