What if all of my sales come directly and not through eBay or a site?
 

I'm loving all of the wealth of information I'm getting from this website, forum, and stealth guide!! However, the more I'm reading up on things, the more I'm realizing that this is mostly intended for people who RELY on eBay to generate their sales.

Let's say that I didn't need eBay at all. Let's say I generate my sales by word of mouth or some random VK or FB page. I really just need to get PayPal off my back and keep IRS in the dark and be able to accept a a few thousand dollars a week through PayPal. Is this something that I can learn to do easily here?

Yeah, totally. Just leave out the eBay account creation steps when making an account, so you end up with only a Paypal. Also plenty of sellers here who sell Paypal's by themselves.

Report your income though.

Ok, I was hoping to avoid having to report it. Wouldn't having multiple PayPal accounts and keeping under the 200/20k threshold be the solution for that?

You are trying to avoid reporting for...tax reasons, is that it?

Yes your solution is viable but it's illegal and, IMO at least, unethical.

Expect to be judged when you're looking at breaking laws...this forum has some ethics...there are people here who operate legally...

Avoiding taxes is a dangerous game, if caught they could take most of what you own. Does that pressure bother you at all?
