Adding a Nickname
 

I am wondering about the nickname for setting up a new Amazon account. I have read from other sources the name has to be completely different from the name on the suspended account. I'm a little weary of adding a nickname with the same last name. I understand it has to be somewhat similar for payments but I worry Amazon will match it to the suspended account as my last name is kind of rare.

you said name has to be the same for payments, do you mean card matching? not necessarily...

I meant payments from Amazon to checking account. In the Amazon Ghost book it says big banks don't really care about a slight name change like a nickname. But what if the name is completely different? Also, if the new name is a nickname, will Amazon notice similarities from a previously suspended account?

As far as I know, a mismatch is ok for alot of USA banks, maybe someone can chip in on which to avoid.

We cannot tell you for certain if a nickname will get you suspended, you should know that it might do.......
