I noticed a few threads on Metabank problems, but I'm unclear on the current status. Here is a breakdown of the issues I noticed in other threads:

1) Metabank will freeze your accounts if you have too many cards.
2) Metabank checks the names/addresses on incoming money transfers.
3) Problems seeing micro deposits from Paypal verification.
4) Listing Metabank as your bank account in Paypal will cause your account to become limited (without any other contributing factor).

I am most interested in the last issue. I'm not transferring money between Metabank & Paypal. I'm just using it to verify the account. All funds will come from separate gift cards.

Can anyone confirm if Paypal is limiting accounts that use Metabank as the bank account?

I know meta bank will reject a deposit from paypal if the name on paypal account is different from the card holder's name

Theres alot of people who use metabank cause they cant get real banks due to chexsystems IE Netspend,Rushcard heck even jacksonhewetts issue metabank cards to its customers and many of these people use paypal and use this as a bank for paypal it even has a reload opition on your netspend site that says reload by paypal. I used them in the past and never had a problem with getting limted by paypal i just got all my cards closed because i had 13 metabank accounts which no where did it say in there rules that u could'nt have more then one nor did it stop me from makeing more accounts so i didnt know. Also what got me i used 2 Co.s which had totaly different names but yet used metabank and they counted it as the same :mad: like if u have 2 netspend cards then go and get 2 rushcards you will have 4 metabanks and there all linked and they will close all 4 even though there through different Co.s

Do you think it's unrelated to Metabank?

I though rushcard used chase bank not metabank

It use to use metabank i had a rushcard along time ago like 3-4 years ago. but chase might had bought them out sence then. Theres a list on this fourms somewhere that shows what all debit cards use metabank.
