Selling Many of the same product

Has anyone had a problem selling a lot of the same item on ebay? Like will they eventually ask you about suppliers, etc.?

Yeah it does come to a point where paypal will ask for supplier details and invoices :boink:

this is when you need to spread what you are selling over 5 accounts or more and it looks like you are not selling that much - a surge in sales will get you limited but a steady/slow sales history may not get you limited so easy.

Supplier invoice seems to be on every limitation i receive, on sunday i sent a SERVICE money request to someone and got a limitation asking for supplier invoice, it was the 1st transaction i ever did with that account also.. but yes supplier info is bound to be asked for.. your best bet is to have receipts or a solid explanation of where you got the items from

Supplier invoices is a fckin joke - its just an excuse to hold your funds - I HAVE REAL SUPPLIERS - so I dont have a problem sending them invoices but "if" they call which the dont the supplier isnt going to release any of my information to them - that bad business and against the law I believe

sorry still a little bitter - feebay has over 2k of mine and I sent invoices and everything else

so how much product do you have to move a month of them to ask for supplier info? I am worried that if I keep listing and listing and listing the same product over and over, I will get limited. And if I do get limited, do they only ask for supplier info or other stuff as well? I try to mix up other items in my listing, but I dont think that will matter.

I'd say currently I sell about 30-50 of a particular item a month for about $100 a piece. Does that seem like a lot?

I spread my listings over a couple accounts but I hate having to wait for paypal to release my money.

Let me know your ideas on this...

Not at all i sell that much daily, similar price range, vero as well.

Spread it out on as many accounts as you can and make them all completely different from one another and you should fine.

WOW!! I sell nowhere near that much. But how long has this account your taking about been selling? Is it a powerseller status and/or an eBay store?

On 6 accounts, some old some new, some powerseller some not, all have stores.

About 2 years ago I was selling a supplement, sold about 60 packages in 1 account, eventually paypal called me and asked me how i got all these products and requested an invoice from my supplier.

reminds me of the time i was selling metabolife...i was getting ready to throw a bunch of the bottles away, then i decided to check the prices on those on ebay and they were going for $100-$150 each bottle!! i listed a lot of them but kept getting taken down by ebay.....i relisted and eventually sold them all without being suspended nor a phone call..
