How many bank accounts can you open with the same bank?
 

I just opened 2 more accounts with Bank of America(i have 4 total now). They send me an email saying they are processing my application for the 2 i just opened. So how many accounts can I open online with boa?

Please someone! I am really curious if there is a limit and then the bank wont let you open anymore?

I never knew you could do that. I guess if you already got 4 it wouldn't hurt to keep opening more to find out. Try keeping money in them at all times so they don't close them on you.

why dont you just ask the bank, there is nothin wrong with having accounts purely for ebay, and you can have several ebay accounts without looking suspicious. I mean i wouldnt have 10! but i think 3 is fine. I have 3 accounts with one bank, and its fine.

I have 14 currently. What's wrong with that? Just trying to spread the wealth around...

haha i hear ya. I have 8 with boa right now. Had 11 at one point.

14 ebay accounts running active auctions. Many more bank accounts than that.

I got 20 with boa, no promblems yet. The more the better.

Banks want business. We need banks for business. We create a relationship with a bank for what we want to do. What is so hard about that? We make a 'friend' at a bank and we have our accounts there with them. Verry useful,innit.:rolleyes:

10 with Wachovia.

Apparently, 10 with Wachovia is to many lol.


They closed my access said it was suspicous. I have to call them on the phone.

No, If you use wachovia, Wachovia will close your accounts if using stealth.

Yeah wachovia closed mine also. Good thing I got my money out! Dont use wachovia, the reason they told is "money going in is not in your name from another person and others" To suspicious and unsafe. Stupid#@ $@4

I have 10+ myself now with Bank of America. They don't get suspicious of anything and are very customer friendly unlike wachovia. They will always work with you and are easy to work with.


When opening an account make sure to mark you don't want a check card and to go paperless for online statements. :) Unless you want an abundance of visa cards and lots of statements every month.

The only thing I would hesitate with guys is when having 10-20 accounts with one bank, is that such behavior creates an environment where the bank will know something is going on and may look into it. Someone is going to go hmmmmm....

That could be what happened with Watchovia and other banks that have shut us down. Remember they are going to look into and fix anything that doesn't look right. It may seem wiser to open just a few accounts with a handful of different banks, so as to arouse no suspicions. Just how I operate and my take. We don't want to one by one eliminate our bank options until one day they decide to make name verification standard.

The woman that opens all of my accounts told me on Friday that I could open up 500 if I wanted. I try to open up at least 4 a week from her, she's real cool with what I have going.
