Did a test buy of another seller on my listing...
 

I was wondering why this product listing was receiving poor reviews as for some reason I do not have the buy box as a seller with about 10x as many seller feedback is winning it even with a 30% increase in price. Did a simple test buy on my real account for the product. I received the product and

1) it isn't even the correct product, similar but not the same (incorrect label)
2) doesn't work as well and very buggy (it's a video game)

Obviously I am going to open up a return request, hopefully move to an A-Z claim and leave poor seller feedback for the product and include images to Amazon.

What other options do I have to get this seller off this product and hopefully get a "inauthentic product complaint" for this seller so he can no longer sell on this product listing? Just keep making test buys from friends' Amazon accounts?

If his products are that bad you won't need to do that. He won't last long anyway. I'm sure others are complaining.

You're probably right. He's been around for a few weeks selling these items so far and stealing a lot of my sales/ruining the product page with a few bad reviews. He also keeps submitting changes to Amazon to change the description/bullet points which is super annoying as they're terrible edits. Hopefully he gets suspended... I usually don't wish this on anyone but if its affecting my business :violin:

if his stuff is as bad as you claim then he wont be in biz for long... stop haten n step ur game up...:rip:

Did a test buy - received it and reported a counterfeit. He refunded me without having to return the item.

I emailed multiple Amazon email address to investigate the issue (he has had similar feedback of not receiving the correct item). He is no longer selling under my listing and I assume he received an inauthentic product complaint.

But, he is still selling under the one other listing that is on Amazon. Wonder if I should buy his product from there and do the same thing? He's undercutting my price by at least 40%

Sounds like the only resolution to me. You'll get your money back anyway so go ahead.

I don't usually advocate screwing sellers but he's free game if he's causing you huge losses by undercutting you with a cheaper product which is supposed to be the "same" product you're selling.

Exactly what my thinking was. I just purchased from him again. Hopefully he doesn't realize that it is the same buyer. I guess I'll see what happens

He canceled my order immediately... hurting his own metrics. Should I just keep ordering from him?

Send your inventory in and do FBA for your legitimate product. You should win the buy box by default, especially if you're priced better.

Otherwise just have a friend/family member buy the other product and get it rollin.

Not a waste of time. Take his @$$ out. This is a dog-eat-dog ecommerce world we're living in. With all the potential profits on Amazon, chances are this guy wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing to you if he were in your shoes.

I have legit invoices so I am not worried.

Reordered again, lets see if he cancels again. Doing this to other sellers as well. Especially need to clean up these listings for Q4
