Other than buying a prepaid phone, I think your only options is google voice, and apps such as pinger.

Do you have friends who live in the USA?

As for the low selling limits with virtual phone numbers, they get increased quickly.

I've always used gv numbers unknowingly and just had a $3000 reserve + 6% 30 day rolling reserve with PP. It wasn't the end of the world.

I heard on forum about gv issues upon account creation, eg. suspended seconds after adding it as comm method.....so maybe avoid
