Default Ebay.... Hold?

Okay, I created a new ebay account... I listed an item. It was a stealth account 100%. Everything worked perfect.... Right after listing it I listed a monitor for sale... nothing special just a 25 inch LCD not to pricey...

I've been fine selling stuff under $1,000 on new accounts... This isnt even gonna sell for like 200 likely..

Anyways... Ebay cancels the auction and requests to verify my identity... They didn't suspend me.. They said they will give me 48 hours to respond.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it happening a lot now or just random?

I am gonna try to create another stealth account tommorow and try listing something for about 100 bucks right away to see if I get same response... and I will do it again with something else worth about 250 and see what happens...

I am not sure if it is... a high risk item possibly? It was an electronics... I'll toss things up try electronics... and different things... I will report back with my findings

Anyone else have anything like this happen though? I thought it was weird.

never had that happen to me, not listing electronics and I come into a new account with items 10 bucks and less to break them in.

They said it was just a random security check, But it was on two accounts. They were not linked so I think its just electronics.

I almost bought into their trickery thinking it was random <_< Maybe it was... Maybe it was't... :( I don't know

I think its safe to assume they are just looking for scammers... If they linked my other accounts I would have been suspended already.

That is to expensive and high risk for a new account. You need to get your feedback score up first with cheap items, then move to the bigger items.

Electronics are 'high risk'.
