Setting up accounts JUST to buy
 

So the requirements for this are almost zero right? (Just don't mix with anything else like one of your valuable selling IDs)

I thought setting up buyer accounts would help make purchases and get sales history. (And taking a hit on the FVF and Paypal fees.)

Is that worth doing?

No shill bidding.
Just real buying and paying.
Getting sales history for an item.
Get sale. Mark as posted. Make loss of ebay fvf and paypal fees - but you get sales history for the item.
Any thoughts?

Trying to enhance and items sales position by increasing its sales numbers, eh?

I don't believe this will work, I don't think you can do it often enough to make a statistical difference to Cassini, but you certainly can do it often enough to get caught and shut down on both ends.

i disagree

selling printer ink - forget it. you'll need 100 accounts

something with less competition - 10 strategic sales will make a big big difference.
could get to top 5 if purchases made withing 2 hours say.

It's been done - not ideal situation but stealth can work...up to you really but I have done it for past accounts as experimentation - all accounts still alive

@dallis i've got a big mouth and fast typing that hits send button first and thinks later. (didn't mean to come over as rude or anything and that i knew it all) :)
i'm asking you guys because you guys are all experienced and know tons more than me.

i'm building an empire. after getting screwed by ebay, i want to grow bigger and run 1000 accounts. hey... that's the plan anyway. learning loads from you guys. so thanks for all replies.
