21 day hold? So..... not all accounts?
 

Hi guys. I'm wondering about something. I have had dozens of stealths in the past. And I just noticed one of them doesn't even hold the 21 day hold payments at all! Not even a single day. I've sold 14 orders so far already. Is this a new thing? I don't think it is. But has anyone ever had this done in the past? Are they planning on hitting you up later down the road or just doing something great?

Happens from time to time. For me about 90% of the accounts don't get the 21 days hold. Sometimes only single payments are held while others go through smoothly right from the beginning.

Yeah lucky me, I've had accounts I called in to get 3 limits raised within a weeks time frame. And they did it. This one is strange honestly. And I sell the same product on some other accounts and get those 21 holds still. Another one I sold 14 items and since then, no more holds either. But still get those 72 hours hold by paypal withdrawal tho.

No worries just was worried it's something that will hit me hard down the road on it.

It happens.
I assume the items you sold were not priced too high.
If you attempt to sell any higher value items you can expect to see those holds placed on the payments received for those.

Yeah they are pretty cheap 1 account has them and it's the same value and this one doesn't really. I do have a bit higher priced items but $19.99 is the highest. I was thinking it was the verification setup maybe that did so well and allowed it.

UPDATE: I just sold the $19.99 no holds. Funny some other accounts I just sell items for the same price or cheaper and gets holds. I wonder what triggers it. It's only temp not forever so it's fine.

I've noticed it from time to time, but if you suddenly post something much more expensive, or in a high risk category, then the hold appears... or if someone buys something and then right away buys a second item from you, the second item gets the hold... Just think of it as a nice convenience while it lasts, or while you build up your account, but definitely don't count on it each time you list something.

Yeah that account just started getting holds on it now. Strange.

If you start selling something new, the holds seem to jump onto the account.
Once you sell a set number of that new item, they tend to drop for that item only. unless you have a case/dispute.

Have you tried selling something new?

As far as dollar amount, it seems to have an invisible limit on certain accounts.

Same items nothing changed. No cases, everything delivered. Not worried but this 21 day hold kinda blows as always, been years never bugged me as much as lately. Then the 72 hour withdrawals into the bank account kinda pisses me off lately. My other accounts don't have this, then again those are 2 to 15 year old accounts.

I don't try to sell nothing new at all. I did have 1 stealth account I sold in one category then jumped to another category on it, I did have holds for 2 or 3 items years ago then it went away then started selling things and did like $18k in 3 weeks, no holds at all. :)
