simon giftcards dead ?
 

After being off of ebay for awhile, i've decided to get back on it and get rid of the clothes i've stored in my garage ever since i got banned from ebay. I've already read the stealth book but since i dont know when it was last updated, i dont know if the simon vcc are still working. Can anyone help me out on this one?

Also, the stealth book stated that you can put whatever names on the simon vcc, so does that mean that i need to match the names on the simon vcc w/ paypal and ebay accts or i can just give simon my real info?

The last I heard, Simon is no good to use on ebay, but can be used on PP to lift limits. I may be mistaken. It's posted in here somewhere.

Doesn't matter really. But since you can make the card say whatever you want, you might as well make it match.

I thought I read that you can pay ebay fees with it but can't verify yourself with it?

As I said, I may be mistaken. I could have it backwards. But the way I remember, it's no good on ebay.

You can't use it to verify an eBay account correct, but it's still look last time I checked for PayPal as is most prepaid cards.

I'm sure you can use it to pay your eBay fees though.

I used Simon to pay my ebay fees the other day, so yes it works for that.

But why do I not remember verifying an ebay account? When do they ask you about verifying an account? Sorry...I haven't created an account in a looooong time, I still have accounts aging. I probably should make 1 or 2 to stay current on any changes.

Aking, verifying an ebay account is just another word for turning it into a seller account.

OK, if I remember correctly, you have 3 options to pay ebay fees when u set up the seller account. 1) credit card, 2) bank acct, 3) paypal. I usually choose paypal.

Yes those 3 options are correct. It has always been said here on the forum, that you should not link your paypal account. Which would be selecting the paypal option. Now there are not many other options, so I guess its ok to do?

I have been choosing the paypal option when verifying from day 1. You just have to make sure you pay your ebay fees on time or ebay will try to automatically withdraw from your paypal account. I haven't had problems with linking my paypal account, has anyone else had problems?

The main problem with linking them is that if your ebay acct goes down, your gaypal acct will follow shortly after. I have one acct that I have linked, due to the items sold on that acct.

Tried using Simon Card today on Ebay and NO GO. Won't accept prepaid cards.

Right as mentioned many times already, this is already established.

I am using Vanilla Visa Cards all the time.

I get them from CVS

After you buy the card log in to vanillavisa.com and click "register your card" by giving them your PP info (name, address, and phone) that you are connecting it to.

After that you can use the card on PP to lift your limit and pay eBay also.

It still works as of today. :hail:

Is that a new thing? If you get suspended on Ebay, you get suspended on PayPal automatically, even if in good standing? I still use PayPal from my original Ebay suspended account, but I use it for other Internet purchases, not in connection with any of my Ebay accounts...

No that doesn't always happen. If your eBay is suspended you can never use the Paypal again with eBay, but you can use it for other things, like your doing Lyda.

Much depends on the ebay suspension. If the paypal account is linked but not limited, it can only be used off ebay.
