Can't Open Ebay Case..."You Checked Out As Paypal Guest"
 

Purchased an item and it is defective. Contacted seller first and they do not want to respond. Tried to open an ebay return and get the message "We cannot process your request at this time. You purchased this item as a Paypal guest user and will need to contact Paypal directly by going through their Resolution Center."

Well...I didn't use Paypal to check out. I used credit card through ebay. On top of that, the email address that I used doesn't have any info in the "activity" section on Paypal. I don't even have a transaction ID for this because again, I didn't use Paypal. Not sure what to do now??

contact your CC issuer and tell them about your case

Yeah, I was going to mention a chargeback yesterday. But I didn't want to be "that guy."

@wtfebay, what credit card did you use? Companywise I mean.

It seems that ebay is trying to force people out of their money lately. Guess they are realizing that they need both buyers AND sellers to support them.

I checked out as a guest and the seller didnt deliver. I had to call my CC company to fight for me as ebay AND paypal washed their hands of the situation.

They seem to be going down the crapper lately
