Are gift cards dead for etsy?
Morning gurus,
I tried to open a stealth etsy account in a paypal country (using fresh dedicated ip), using a stealth address in that country. I linked the pp account, when it came to linking a credit card, the registration stalled at the gift card (which was bought from the post office here in Australia). Its the kind that is issued by Heritage bank.
Etsy says there was a problem with the cc. The seller account hasn't been suspended, just the registration process has stalled waiting on a cc that works.
What's the deal with this? Did etsy detect it was an Australian gift card (mastercard) and reject it? Do only vcc's work now? |
