Will changing the email address on PP and Ebay flag it up? Is it easy to change?

Yes you can change both email address. but you have to carefully change to eBay email address. after change you have to wait 48 hours for normal activities. then all will be ok.

Changed the PP and Ebay to the new email address

BUT when trying to delete the original email address getting this error message

PROBLEM is I have forgotten the recovery email address/password, never used it for years, so what can I do now to login into the original gmail and delete it?

so you said you have successfully changed the eb email, so where are you deleting the old address from? If you changed the email address and can access the new email, what is the issue about the recovery email?
