Paypal

So paypal will still eventually ask for a ssn on a verified account? At what point do they start asking for a ssn?? Are there any sellers out there with stealth accounts that have been doing fine with paypal without giving them a social security number?? Help!!! I really need to get back to selling and ebay has suspended me indefinately, they have given me no codes or reasons as to why. I just got an email stating about security reasons, i sent them several emails back and still no reason why i was suspended.

Hello, Ebayhastochange

I would say Youhavetochange :) If eBay changes, there will be just more people get suspended.

Say Goodbye to SSN. Read more posts and book here, you'll get more idea.

As long as you only sell some low priced items every week, and not many of them (less than 10) you shouldn't have a problem. Once you start selling items over $25-30, or start selling 20-30 items a week, they will ask for SS# not too long after. But there are obviously ways around it which can't be posted here.

I did read the entire book cover to cover about 3 times, I was all set and ready to go, however after reading some of these posts I am afraid that paypal will limit my account, ask for social security number, keep my money...etc. etc. I just need to know what is the best way for me to start selling again without paypal limiting my account and needing a social security number. I am a subscriber to the subscriber forum so if this information cannot be discussed here, I can be emailed or I can log in under the subscribers only.
HELP!!!!!!!

Most of my limitations happen when I send payments, not when I receive them. I find that being incorporated significantly smooths the process of removing the limitations.

There is really no way to totally avoid paypal asking SSN. Don't be afraid of it, you can always create more stealth accounts for backup. I don't leave much $ in paypal, withdraw it everyday. just a little in case there's a dispute.

I have never had a problem with SSN.

The key to paypal is: NEVER LEAVE TOO MUCH MONEY IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT, NEVER TRANSFER ALL YOUR MONEY OUT OF PAYPAL AT ONCE & MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE A BACK UP ACCOUNT READY.

I THINK MY LAST ACCOUNT GOT LIMITED A FEW MONTHS AGO WITH $47 IN IT, LOL. PAYPAL CAN HAVE THAT!! I HAD JUST TRANSFERRED OVER $1K OUT OF IT.

O.K. Thanks Guys!!!! I feel a little better!! I already have my back up accounts ready to go, I am gonna let them age, bid on a couple items, to generate feedback during that time, use this one account and if something happens with this one (they ask for SSN) then my other ones will be ready to go!!! Thanks for the help!!!
