Two New accounts linked

Well , i think there's something going on, i got my new avvounts linked, and why? i was folowing all steps, using diferents acounts on computer,ip, names, adress, zip, bank, well the only thing is i didn't clean the cache cuz according the course if they are in diferents accounts is no necessary, the only thing that i did was listing the same producto ..but i canot believe they could amont milion of the users link account for coincidence???and suspended. there's something around email, or auctiva. any idea?

brat42 08-13-2009 03:48 AM

Did you remove the cookies on the computer? And you should have cleared the cache as that removes all sign of another account. I think those are the reasons.

lakeman 08-13-2009 06:12 AM

No you don't have to clear cache or cookies if you use separate user accounts. There must be something else you did to get linked.

aking 08-13-2009 07:55 AM

If you went right back and listed the exact same thing you just got limited for, chances are thats what got you hit. You have to stay "under the radar," let your accounts age, sell different items for awhile, etc.

getaroundebay 08-13-2009 07:59 AM

Although it does sound like that should be the case, I have never been linked even though I start many accounts with the same products.

Amazon, I definitely agree, you have to list stuff totally different! eBay I am not so sure.

captainjack1980 08-13-2009 08:45 AM

I have been OK with listing in same product categories - I always have different generic info across accounts though (wording of description, T&Cs etc etc).

I have lost accounts by listing exactly the same item with the same description/photo etc. as on a previously suspended account.

getaroundebay 08-13-2009 08:56 AM

Oh yeah, you have to be pretty dumb to use the same listings!!!

aking 08-13-2009 09:02 AM

There's nothing wrong with listing the same products, but you can't start a new account and the first thing you list is the exact item u got busted for.

hummm

Maybe should be because i have bidded on that account before, and start selling the same producto after that get restricted. But I am little nervous about reading email and auctiva. I was wondering if is really safe read all emails from ebay in same computer and same ip.
And another issue is as i use diferents accounts to loggin on ebay, i have to logout from a ebay account and change my computer account and conect with its respective ip. the question is, if i have to loggout from one and loggin and another , i think ebay will realize that the both accounts never are online at same time.

bluemoon999 08-13-2009 04:21 PM

You're thinking too much. eBay system has not reached that high complicated level ;)

Based on the current info, no rush to make too many judgments. Try again, change here or there a little bit, pattern, style or something new that you think might help, and see how it goes.

How's your new paypal account now btw?

I agree with bluemoon999 to an extent that ebay wouldnt notice things like two accounts are never online at the same time.
But atleast you are thinking ,that's a good sign. But along with this you need a little knowledge so that you can start thiking in the place where you should be.

One of the possible reasons for getting yourself linked is reading email which I guess from the way you said it .
Let me ask you , do you read email of a different ebay account ,while your other ebay account is online?

juniorusa 08-14-2009 12:16 AM

i am not sure...maybe yes..

TigerLord 08-16-2009 04:30 PM

Did you list with different title, pictures and description?

If you copied/pasted the same description, that how they got you.

juniorusa 08-17-2009 12:32 AM

humm

i copied and pasted

GreenBean 08-17-2009 12:38 AM

That is why you got linked.:pout: Everything has to be NEW & different from another account

Vicvelcro 08-17-2009 01:05 AM

Also, when you open an email from ebay or forwarded by ebay or passed through ebay - you MUST be in the proper windows user login that matches the ebay ID whose mail your are about to open AND you should be on the proper IP address.

You can't be on windows user A with IP address A but check mail meant for ebay user B. There's web-bugs and beacons and clear.gif and other tracking measures in those. You open the mail, you get sussed.

GreenBean 08-17-2009 01:15 AM

Sorry that the accounts were linked really annoying. WHat you REALLY REALLY need to do is get to gripes with being stealth. Go back over the forum and read up on all the answers you have been given. Unless you do that, you might repeat the same errors next time

Even if looking on gmail with no images displayed?

i thought the advantage of gmail was I could look at any gmail account on my main user account regardless of the IP?

Damn...

captainjack1980 08-17-2009 02:25 AM

I have all my mail fowarded to windows mail with images blocked - no problems as yet. Obviously I don't respond to anything unless I am on the correct user account.

The same applies to Gmail I would think.

But that is only my experiences with mail management.

CaptainJack.

GreenBean 08-17-2009 02:56 AM

^^^There was a glitch a while back with gmail. Here's the thread. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-tr...11-2009-a.html

Best to have a proviso on gmail.... for your own precautions :peace:

Re 18,19: Was trying to give advice that the target individual could use. A good answer that wasn't too advanced for that particular person.

Re 18: Gmail isn't always safe. It has weirded-out before.

Re 19: That falls under my statement about being in proper windows user and proper IP. Don't need to block the images, then. However, if reading, but images etc are well and truly blocked with no chance of a script going off half-cocked, you are fine regardless of IP or winuser. (kidz don't try that at home or anywhere else)

juniorusa 08-18-2009 02:55 AM

so for read emails i have to logging with respective ip?

I want to know if for read emails of acount "A" i have to loging by ip "A". Or if i can read any accounts email from same ip since i read once each time.
