Default This was a surprise in my email this morning

I have all of my stealth email accounts forward to my regular email and today I got an email from Paypal saying re-occuring ebay billing agreement...well, actually 2 emails.

One was from my regular account the other was for a brand new account that got shut down 30 minutes after listing a vehicle. Get this, ebay charged me as if the vehicle had sold...over $100 for one listing.
Of course since the account was shut down I can't go back and look into the details in my ebay account. In preparation to try another account I immeadiately removed the email reg'd with ebay (about 2 weeks ago) from the Paypal account, as I had done with prior accounts.

So I go to the other email (not my forwarded one) and there are two different notifications ...totalling over $450! $300+ was from a suspended account from months ago.

I went to my bank and the $300+ withdrawal had already gone through but the smaller one hadn't. I filed a claim saying that I hadn't authorized the amount that was withdrawn, and then closed that account and opened another. They seemed confident I would get the money back.

WTF??? ebay can now take out of your Paypal even if the address you agreed to it under was removed weeks earlier? Luckily, I had plenty in the bank and didn't over draft, but that's crazy.

The good news is that now I have a fresh bank account to verify a new Paypal account that I plan to set up.

Never leave any money in a Bank account attached to a paypal account.
Always keep the balance in those bank accounts below $1.00.
Then they will get no money.
Were you using Bank of America?

It doesn't matter how much you have in your account, if they tap into it, it will just overdraft the account. Unless you have some kind of overdraft protection or something. That happened to me once, I learned quickly after that.

Does Bank of America deny any withdraw attempts from eBay or Paypal?

I thought Paypal had lost a lawsuit some time ago and since then were prohibited from withdrawing any amount without consent...

This is really bull****.

Not BOA.
I had authorized Paypal to withdraw, but since I didn't intend on ever sending any money or buying anything with the account I thought, no big problem.
What happened was this:
I added the bank account to an old Paypal account to verify so I could use the PP account to register with ebay as a way to pay my ebay fees since the Simon cards trick isn't working anymore.
Eventually the account was linked so I immeadiately removed that email address from Paypal. I used a new email address to start a new account at ebay and then added it to Paypal just like before. That account was suspended within the hour, not for linking to another account but for "false contact information" I had listed a vehicle on that account. I also then removed that email.
Then yesterday I received the emails from Paypal that 2 echecks were in the process of transferring the funds for the fees associated with both of the ebay accounts even though both of the emails had been removed.
Luckily it looks as though I will get the one payment back and the other one never went through. I also opened a new bank account at the same time so I now have a fresh number to use for a new Paypal account.

Default Update...Whew!

Successfully stopped the withdrawal and was able to divert the automatic withdrawal and keep my nearly $500.

Fresh Bank account with a new number...will be using it in the near future for a new verified PP acct.

^^^dfb, make sure that you give ebay NO access to your bank account for fees.
In those months you were away lots changed: find another (safer) way to pay the fees without damaging a bank account. You get my drift
