Is it possible to cancel a completed auction?

What is the best way to void or cancel a transaction that has been paid for and shipped already?

I have a buyer who although has actually used the product completely, so nothing to return, now says they are not happy! fine I will give refund, as it is a laughably small amount of money but I have a feeling that they will give neg feedback, as they have made such a ludicrous complaint.

Best way to handle it - bottom line dont want a neg...

If he wants a refund he should be willing to cancel the auction. I'm not sure about ebay UK, but I know in the US in the drop down menu next to the auction title you can choose "Resolve a Problem". Then your sent to a page that asks you why you want to cancel blah blah blah. I'm not sure if the buyer has to agree for you to actually cancel though. If you provide info that you gave a refund, ebay should just cancel everything.

oh I thought resolve a problem was only for non-paid for items. Anyway its sorted out now...

That's a big flaw on ebay.

You can do a mutual withdrawal (something I always insist on before a refund is given) to cancel a transaction, But they can still leave a negative.

And for non paying bidders, as long as they reply to the dispute (even something like Get lost I ain't paying) they can leave negative and ebay won't remove it.

If you are going to refund, always do a mutual withdrawal to get your fee's back!

I've had that happen. NPB who left a negative feedback. There should definitely be something done about that...
