Safe items to sell on new account

Seen a few postings about this, but were older.

When I get to that point, what is the timing of listing the first item, and then subsequent items.

What is on the list of safe items to sell initially on a new account? I've read used books. What else? How about used CD's?

What do I stay away from: electronics, branded items (and which branded items, all or certain ones). For example, I bought a 5 pak of white undershirts that I never opened and will not use from Fruit of the Loom. Does that mean I can't sell them, at least initially?

Is it best to do an auction to get some sales under my belt?
