Paypal dispute: What would happen if the returned item was denied?
 

Recently, a picky buyer bought a Xbox 360 off of me from ebay, and he is bitching about the Xbox to be broken, simply because he did not know how to connect to XBL, nor how to migrate the data so that it would work on a new console. Even though the item was 100% as described to the descriptions, but the buyer was contantly whining about how "the item was broken and was not as described, and ruined my accounts" over Paypal dispute.

I got sick of the argument, and selected the option where a refund shall be issued if he ships the item back.

However, when the UPS delivery guy came to my door yesterday, the mailman stated that the buyer had placed a COD on the package, it values more than half of the price the Xbox costs! I feel that it is very unfair for me th pay this amount of money to the buyer, what would happen if I refuse the package and ask UPS to mail it back?

I think I would document the COD thing, and refuse the package. Then, assuming this issue is related to a PP transaction, I would immediately contact PP and tell them the entire package was not heavy enough to be the genuine contents and that the COD was an attempt by the other party to perpetrate a double fraud against me and against PP.

I wouldn't say much more than that. Short answers are honest answers.

Then allow the remainder of the issue to play out a bit more. See what develops.

I would go ahead and file a police-report..PayPal as we all know, does whats best for paypal.Tell them the story, but I would go ahead and get documents ready to file a polcie report against this person

Right now, I am simply going to reject the package and ask UPS to mail it back. If I remember correctly, Paypal will not forcefully issue a refund if you didn't get the item.
