PayPal Japan Verification process
 

I have a question for anyone who has experience with eBay PayPal Japan and setting up your stealth account verification process.

1. I can create PayPal account but need to get verified only via CC which needs to be on the same account holder and CC surname. It is simply lockes the surname when you enter the CC details. What card and how can you get it so that it will provide you with Verification deposit number here in Japan? I am not aware of any gift cards in JP to provide you with a statement for the PayPal deposit verification 4 pin number.

2. If you are going to withdraw money from PayPal to Bank account you need to write the account name in Japanese character which I would like to be my Bank account but if I do that eBay and PayPal will link my other accounts. If I don't use the right name the money wont come from PayPal to my bank account. I have tried used slight modification to my name. Any thoughts on that?

Any help or similar experience would be highly appreciated.

We dont have many Japan members unfortunately, but there are international cards sold on visavcc.com (run by earlt on this forum) or if you pm lakeman on this forum, they both can provide disposible vcc. They cannot be used for paying fees though, just verification.

We have found in other countries that AVS isnt being used - so, you may want to try your normal bank card, they send expuse number to check you are in control of it and thats all...and if it doesnt work, they cant see your name and address anyway

I am thinking of using my family info first to make it work I have all to my disposal. Only one thing is that lets say I dont have a CC for one member but I have 2 or more CC from other members.

1. Would it be OK for verification purposes to use CC with different first name then registered with PayPal or is it No No? I have noticed that the Surname is locked and I can only change the first name. Would I be able to have John Smith instead of Erica Smith or leave the same first name because only the surname counts?

2. If you are withdrawing money from your stealth account to your bank account. Is it under your name or is it business made up name? I have to write the Japanese character in for the PayPal to complete the transaction and there can not be one mistake otherwise the JP bank will reject the payment. What way of dealing with this problem can you think of?

I thought of creating a new Bank account and slightly alter the hiragana (Jp character) with my name. So it doesn't match and link my clean accounts. What do you think?
