Limited - Required FOUR items, included SSN
 

Hey guys!
Haven't been on here a while, been extremely busy with school..but I got my first real limitation for an account made in July. 3+ month old. I took selling slowly, increased sales by a tiny bit, each day is around $400 sales and tracking constantly uploaded. Absolutely no "item not recieved" or other claims, and 100% positive feedback on the linked ebay account. I was using the guide as my Bible and taking it steady, slow...and wham limitation. I guess I figured it would happen. Anyway, they required proof of address, proof of supplier info, invoice, and SSN. I sent in everything, it was processed, and approved by a guy named David. I was even clever and sent in something saying I called and could get by without using a SSN since my identity had been stolen before...that was denied. They want SSN. I remember reading in the guide that sometimes you can sweet talk your way out, but I don't think thats going to work. It's all under a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, but real working phone. Can I somehow get a EIN for this ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, and pretend its a business that has a similar name to a legit name? It's been so long I don't even know if that sounds reasonable.. Any help appreciated, I have over $1k in "On Hold" and it would SUCK to have the account lost..I've made it so far with making the account, keeping it alive, and getting past all the steps but this one...

I've read elsewhere on the forum that someone got their account restored by asking to be transferred to someone in the legal department and offering to send faxes of utility bills (that show stealth name and address) instead of SSN.

I would make sure to leave the SSN for last and make sure all of the other requirements are met before trying it.

Also, if all else fails, it might be interesting to just confess to PayPal that you are a student in the USA with a student visa and do not have a SSN. I am curious as to what PayPal would suggest as an alternative.

Any updates on this? Have any luck?

I'm more than curious as to how this worked out as I'm in the same boat with close to $5000 on hold because I've provided everything BUT a SS#

might be a good idea to get a taxpayer id number (TIN) and give them that.
