What's the story behind this credit check?
 

I did some reading on past threads and have seen mixed messages. Is it a soft credit check where the just confirm your identity or do they actually check your credit score? If they do check your credit score can they suspend your account based on the fact that your credit isn't good enough?
I have an ebay account running under a brother's information with a very large sum of money in it... I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the best credit. What's going to happen once I provide them that information?

It does not matter who, what, when, where, how or why....
But you should NEVER keep more than a few hundred bucks in a Paypal account.
Can you live your life with out the money in there for 6 months?
Because that can happen to any PP account any day of the week.

Well I sell some very high priced items through this account (several thousand dollars). I get the money out as quickly as possible.
That being said, I could easily receive payments of several grand in one day. Are they going to deny this paypal account for poor credit or some other reason?

As long as you don't give them a ssn you shouldn't have to worry about a credit check also if you take the money out too fast they can suspend you for that also.

Most people here would not give a ssn to paypal, that's usually when it's time to say good bye and hello to a new paypal.

Happened to me and I lost entire business on ebay and $3k+ in paypal - all 100% legit in every way, just crappy credit. 300+ 100% feedback, not a single violation etc. etc.

Of course I have learned how not to do things being here :clap:

Paypal and eBay killed me too, and my business on that credit crap. 100% legit account.:mad:

Most businesses or entities will tell you up front , if they will deal with based on any credit glitch.

I guess so does PP if you read the fine print
