| | | inverser | 12-16-2009 11:06 AM | Second PayPal Limitation Okay, the first limitation was annoying, but I passed it after providing supplier info, SSN, etc.
This morning I got hit with another limitation for a bogus reason. The steps to restore account are much more in depth. PayPal is asking for some very private business information!!!!!!!
Currently there's $11,000 USD frozen in the account. :(
Just though I'd share: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43382/another.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43382/another2.jpg |
| inverser | 12-16-2009 11:20 AM | Okay just made another sale. There's over $12,600 in the account. What would you guys do? Should I change the PayPal address in all my eBay listings until I get this resolved? I have another $3,000 coming in tomorrow! |
| lakeman | 12-16-2009 11:24 AM | The SSN is the hardest thing they ask for. Since you've already gave them that, the 4 things they want should be simple. I would work on providing them with the info they want, shouldn't take very long. |
Why does it say update phone numbers? Did they try calling and the number didn't work? I wonder if that was the reason for limitation? Correct me if I'm wrong. |
| inverser | 12-17-2009 08:01 AM | Not really sure about that. Currently the account has my Google Voice number on it, which forwards to me, and my friend's cell phone, it's his SSN in the PayPal account. The PayPal guy called me on the Google Voice number and asked for my friend. I said he wasn't in the office and asked if I could take a message. The PayPal guy left his name and number (402 area code) and requested a call from my friend.
That's it.
I think the reason for the limitation was a huge surge of sales. About $10,000 or so in seven days. |

I just really dislike the idea of giving my financials to PayPal. I'm sort of the rebellious type, and I loathe bending over. I almost feel the will to fight it tooth and nail.
I've printed out an official complaint form from my state's Attorney General's office and have completed it. I'm strongly considering sending a copy to PayPal politely asking them to release my account, or I will file this complaint with the US Attorney General once a week until the day I die. What might be the repercussions of that play? You think PayPal will just hit the kill switch? Even with the AG office watching?
Anyway...
Should be able to accept credit cards very soon. Got an app in process with Merchant Plus. Linda is our rep and she even gave me a discount.
Good bye, PayPal, and good riddance! |
Yea that's it he called wanted to talk he wasn't there to talk to so PayPal does what they do best and that's hitting that limitation button. I hope you pull through on this one that's alot of money locked up and you have a rolling reserve as well. |

Just faxed in a voided check to MerchantPlus as well. So that should be the last of what they need from me... I really I hope I get approved. |

There's really no reason they won't approve it... unless you have really, really horrible credit.
I hope it works out for you! That's a lot of money! |

I have auctions running through Thursday 12/31.
1. Should I pull the auctions?
2. Can I link another email address of a friend with a paypal account?
3. Should I just take poison?
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ON THIS TERRIFIC FORUM |
| captainjack1980 | 12-26-2009 06:00 AM | The easiest option is probably just to stick your head in a gas oven.
The funds will become part of your estate then and I'm sure PP will be happy to release them to your next of kin, on receipt of a valid death certificate.

| onceuponatime | 12-26-2009 07:44 AM | Captain Jack, I've been so depressed about this situation that I NEEDED the laugh you just gave me. Thank YOU.
I'd stick my head in the oven but I can't afford the gas because Paypal has my funds. As far as next of kin....do furry friends count?
Happy Holidays |
| vigilantex69 | 12-26-2009 08:03 PM | F*ck me man $12,000 in a frozen account? God I thought it was bad when I lost about $900.00 |
| First Edition | 12-27-2009 07:37 PM | You could contact your buyers, explain to them what happened, ask them to open disputes for everything they bought, so you can issue the refunds. Send them emails and ask them to pay you again through google checkout. Then send the items. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:19 AM. | |
