Can someone help me with this eBay DSR Jargons ?

ok .. my eBay account has feedback of 97%
DSR
Item as described 4.80
Communication 4.80
Shipping time 4.80
Shipping and handling charges 4.90

Today , I receive this email message from eBay
"Earlier this year, eBay announced minimum seller performance standards based on the incidence of low detailed seller ratings. These changes come into effect in April and require sellers to have 1s or 2s for the Item as described DSR on no more than 1% of transactions, and on no more than 2% for each of the other three DSRs.

Currently, your account is below these new minimum standards on your Item as described DSR. This means that you're at risk of having limits placed on your selling activity in April. You can review your DSRs in your Seller Dashboard."

Can someone please explain to me what the "1s , 2s" means in this eBay Jargons ?? I think I really need some serious help here ..
I actually can't find any explanations of what 1s, 2s means in eBay website, yet I keep seeing eBay using these terms here and there ? what exactly are they talking about by "1s 2s" ?

It just means when a customer evaluates the transaction they have a choice to give you 1-5 stars on your DSR rating.

Open up your seller dashboard and look at the section that says "Detailed seller ratings" then select the 12 month tab and look at the section where it says "Low ratings (1s and 2s)"...that will tell you how many customers rated you really low.

Thank you so much for lighten it up ..

But why "1s 2s" ? .... This really cracks me up since now I know what they really mean "Low rating" .. :=)

You must not be doing enough to get higher ratings.

Do you communicate well
Do you ship quickly
Are the items a reasonable price?

I've got the same problem on one account - unjustly I might add too!

In my researching my own issue, I have found that many many buyers will ding you on the "SHIPPING TIME" rating because they do not understand how they should really be rating the seller here. My other DSR's are fine.

eBay's guidelines state to rate the seller on how fast he shipped, not how soon buyer received item, customs delays, how long it took for payment to clear etc. etc. eBay doesn't enforce this on buyers, yet they do nothing about their poor designed feedback system.

They are currently testing a new feedback form which too has it's good points and bad points but does away with the 1-5 stars.

ebay is designed for buyers - sellers have to adapt and accept all the unfair practices or find another venue

I have to disagree a little bit. Although I'm no fan of eBay's practices with feedback since 07, they have been getting better. Back in the good old days, you could have 20% positive, and they would leave you alone. The idea is that buyers would see this and not buy from you!

Compare to this time last year. It's much harder now to get kicked as a result of "low" dsr scores. It may be much harder in April, but I think ebay is realizing that they're losing business as a result.
