The maximum they can get from you is £5000 if the matter goes to court. Judgment value could be awarded to a total of £5000 excluding any costs. (£280 already O/S to file at the county court) (explained in pm)
Now to make this go away they say give them £180 damages. But the stinger is they want info on the supplier. Problem being the UGG boots have deemed to be counterfeit. You need to prove or disprove you were aware of that. Obviously there is a story to be told which should be such as to be favourable to you

Just pay the 180 in damages and give them the supplier info. Don't let it get to court. You should have just abandoned the goods, it would have never got this far.

Frankly I think their trying it on.
And what is their £5000 loss based on?, they need to justify how they have lost that amount if it went to court.

I have been buying from overseas and selling on ebay for years, trust me, i have had items seized, just abandon them, pay the 180 and be done with it. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS now pay my suppliers the extra shipping fees to send my stuff by UPS or DHL, it is worth it not to have to hassle with customs coming into USA or leaving ASIA, tell your suppliers that is the only way you will buy from them, pay the extra shipping fee.

Dhl and UPS packages are less scrutinized compared to Ems packages. Trust me! EVERY single package I receive from EMS is opened. But, for some reason when I get a package from ups or dhl it is rarely opened. My supplier is very smart, he has someone clear my package from me. He has his own clearance agent. He's the best supplier I ever met!

My packages always have a orange "security checked" sticker on it and that's all. Using DHL or UPS is the only way to go!!

My suppliers also told me DHL rarely got scrutinized by customs. So far I have some luck with EMS. My packages arrived unopened and no customs tax. However, it took so long to arrive.

I only order large quanitys 100+ box sets at a time and so my supplier ships via DHL for no extra charge. If I do a small order 1-50 sets then I have to pay a little extra to upgrade the shipping.

Yes, that's right. If the total weight is over 21kg my suppliers from China will ship free by DHL.

I don't understand what's going on here. How did Ugg know you purchased ⊗⊗⊗⊗ boots from this person?

@jbuntz, where did that come from: the thread only has your deleted post. That post has no relevance to what Ballsack asked.
@Ballsack, there has been a VERY extensive campaign in the UK and now spreading to the USA where the Rights Owner is taking action against the selling of counterfeit UGGS. ebay uk got bombed by the action. Suppliers got nabbed, buyers got nabbed

No not confused yet, just slowly getting there but normally when someone replies to a comment without the original quote it's usually not too far above but never all the way at the top, based on my experience, remember I seach new posts, I'm coming in at the bottom.
