classified ads

Have anyone used classified ads?It would get the similiar attention with other listing formats?Or much lower?

I'm thinking to use classified ads to promote my own web.I would mention the products i sell but wouldnt post the link of that web on the listing.I would tell ppl the link when they contact me.That would work?

much lower traffic, but you will get some sales, as long as they are free, worth a go...
