I notice that the subject of your thread is "Boxsets". Are you asking if your selling DVD boxsets on eBay are going to get you in trouble with them????

I dont see any problem with DVD boxset as long as they are genuine and you have good pictures of them (including holograms where appropriate)

Lot of competition with box sets. Very cut-throat category. Your other sellers very often report you and the listings get pulled. The rights owners get annoyed. Read these threads for more info

I agree. ^^^^ I tried selling them once and got too many takedowns from competition. This was 2 or 3 years ago and the market wasn't too saturated, I imagine it is VERY saturated now.

I haven't had any issues at all with boxsets. The only dvd I ever had issues with was Disney movies which I just gave up on. Not enough profit to make it worth my time and hassle.

Are these "special" DVD boxsets or just more rare?

Or are they ones that will be widely available?

I sometimes take pictures of the holograms to prove they are genuine UK retail. Do you do this aswell?

I also have not any any DVDs taken down but I dont sell a massive amount of them.

They're the ones that ebay has their own stock photos and descriptions of, the way I figure it is why would ebay take down a listing they made themselves?

I was just thinking about ordering those simply because they are cheaper and make a good feedback filler.

Some of the older Disney movies are worth a small fortune. I had a look around on ebay and there are some rarer titles that go for a worthwhile amount.

"Song of the South" and "Beauty and the beast" are two that fetch a nice sum.

Always worth checking out local charity shops and car boot sales, as they often wont know how much they are worth.

Often you can pick up a DVD for £1 and the good ones you can sell for £25-£35. Now this is easy money and if you have an eye for them then you can easily make enough for a holiday. Plus its fun!

The issue with the Disney dvds is most of them have a Buena Vista hologram on the back cover that I have yet to find replicated on a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ one. Most people are hip to that in my experience. For me it was too big of a crap shoot for the amount of profit I was going to make.

CDS I really don't know too much about. Never really thought about selling them. Honestly didn't think that many people bought cds now with downloading music now. Best of luck to you if it works
