Any Tips about Multiple accounts?
 

So I opened my stealth account last summer and have been aboslutely paranoid about contaminating it. I hadn't purchased the book at that point, but it turns out I did most things right just by following tips in this forum.

I lurk here often and every now and then people mention having a plethura of backup accounts.

How can you do this? It seemed like so much effort and cost just to get one done right. Is there a shortcut? How do you avoid having to pay out the rear for virtual addresses, gift cards and phone numbers? Or do you just make so much off your active accounts that it doesn't matter?

I'm truly curious and want to start making reserves but I don't want it to eat up all my profits.

I'm not one of the masters of this site, but I'll try to respond your question :)
The equation is very simple : (Exemples below)
Case # 1 : You have one account, you make $1000 a week, and you have to pay $200 (Ebay-PP Fees, VCC, Phone # etc)... a while later, Boom your account is limited (too much funds goint through).

Case# 2 : You have one account, you make $150 a week, and you have to pay $75 ((Ebay-PP Fees, VCC, Phone # etc)... your profit is $75 minus the byuing price of the stuff you're selling, let's say $75-$15=$60 ... Too less to loose your time, unless you are doing this only for your own pleasure.

Case #3 : You have 10 accounts, you make $150 on each account, minus all the fees, your profit with each account is $60. Total profit $600.

To make it short story, having multiple accounts helps keeping them growing slowly, while you can make a good income.

The price to make a new ebay/paypal account is 0. When it comes time to turn it into a seller account that's when the money comes in. Here's my cost for 10 accounts:

1 prepaid phone with option to change phone # every 24 hours. $15.00

10 giftcards $20 min.which can be spent afterwards $5.95 load fee$59.50

10 bank accounts +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ $00.00

total cost****************************************** $74.50

I don't think there's a person alive that can't figure out a way to come up with $74.50.

Starting off small and carefully leads to bigger & better. If you can not pay for what you need, then you should not be doing business. Most of the costs should be offset. There is no shortcut. That is a dangerous word. That and being drunk when touching your accounts. LOL. I used my first account as the feeder: it spawned the others. Back then my records were yellow stickies! They don't stand coffee washing. Now it's an extensive excel file with everything. suza & jbuntz(who answered previously) have also given valuable info about running accounts. As you move around the forum you'll gleam info that helps you. There are a lot of very clever people: find them and you find answers

I guess I was under the impression that you had to open bank accounts and get cards and stuff before you opened the accounts.

One more question...

What about bank accounts? Is there any red flags that go up with the IRS or anything like that when people too many bank accounts?

Yes obviously they would consider the possibility of money laundering if someone opens 10 accounts in a week. You do 3 a month you shouldn't have a problem. Just remember to close the ones attached to banned/suspended/limited...etc... accounts.

Except of course...

You are waiting on a 180 hold on your money with PayPal after they shut you down. You will need that account to transfer your funds into.

after so many years with ebay problems..i came across this site. This has helped me loads. And now i am running many accounts.
i was suspended on one old account which was a small reason..listed a genuine dvd out of 30 days...anyway after 5 years i got that reinstated.
now i have a main account which i take it slow.
but also i have another real account with correct info but different location.

Saying this i still got backup accounts and still opening and let it sit...thats my peace of mind.
i am running 6 accounts...3 stealth and 3 real info.

You have to read alot on this forum to get things right.

My question is about info's you open your accts with..?

Do you use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ infos... all the way..? the reason why ask is that I hear some say that your ebay should match your new email and paypal....
if you use paypal... I think a merchant acct is better.

The only issue: withdrawl in paypal to your bank, does the name have to match whats on the bank acct.? If not then which bank are you using that does'nt care about the name... ?

If it does matter then how have foofoo for ebay and PP and be able to cashout with a plugin? I guess ebay doesn't really have to match does it

so for pp which banks do not care about a match.. if you have multiple accts then you can't really have a variation of your name for 10+ accts.

Does eBay forgive for stupid one time mistakes? I know the answer is probably no, but thought I would ask since reading your post...

How do u work the phone issue among 10 different accounts? I realize you would use a new # for each account. But, what if ebay needs to call about account #3 and you changed your number for account #10?

In that case you would want a tracphone, people change their phone # all the time I don't think that's a reason to suspend someone without an e-mail notification telling you to update your phone #, It could be $10 $20 per month depends on how many minutes you want.

Yes, I am pretty sure that after 30 days, and after taking their Shill bidding Tutorial, both accounts will be reinstated I am pretty sure.

Sure, they let you have as many as you like & you can do it all online
