Netbook and a Wireless card with Amazon

Ok, I have read thru the forum and I think I have a plan. I am going to best buy to get a netbook and a Verizon wireless card. the card will get a new ip address each time it connects. My question is, if I set up a few accounts on the netbook, I will need to make seperate users account on the netbook for each account< correct?

So if 1 of the accounts get suspended, will all of them? Since it is wireless and each account is set up under a different netbook user name, will there be any other way that they, (amazon) can connect the account since they are on the same computer?

I appreciate all the help that you guys and gals have to give on this forum. The technical part of the computers is where I lack in knowledge

thanks again

You'll need to have a different ip. It's also thought that they will see the same connection through the modem, in this case the usb modem.

The verizon card is great to get new ip's, because it will give you a new one when you disconnect and reconnect. However, I had one account go down using this method, (on the same laptop) and I had many others go down with it. I still haven't quite mastered amazon, but until then I'll be using a new laptop for each account. I can always sell the laptop on amazon later on :)

You can get 2 accounts from each machine before you have to get a new one.

why 2? Can you be more informative on that...

Thanks

Because Amazon tracks your MAC address.
It seems like they allow 2 accounts per MAC address.

From my experience, you can have as many accounts on one laptop as you want by using separate user id's.

Do not attempt to tell ME what I can post and what I can not post.
I NEVER said it was a FACT.

You need to take a step backwards.

I'd take his word for it.

Can you post your own experiences and tell us how you're doing with this?

Amazombie 03-29-2010 11:32 AM

Can't we all just get along? :)

You can create multiple id's but eventually u will be linked. Your mac address is the culprit along with your internet provider.does your net book have system restore setting it should. You can restore it to out of the box configurations. Then just do a search for anything that says amazon ebay or paypal on the computer then remove it. if they make a usb ethernet card this would solve the mac address problem..That is why i use desktops for all my accounts i can keep changing the card...and you are not locked down to the laptop...:ballchain:

jbluntz 03-29-2010 02:10 PM

They last about a month, I had 7 up for a month and they all went down the same day out of nowhere, At least I got all my money out though.

Hercules 03-29-2010 02:29 PM

But the next question is which mac are we spoofing, the one on the computer or the one on the modem, or both?

oge 03-29-2010 05:58 PM

The one on your computer. You only need to spoof the one on your router to change the ip.

jbluntz 03-29-2010 06:08 PM

So from what I've gathered then is you need a linksys router to change ip( which would also spoof the mac of the modem) along with a mac spoofing program on your computer. Think I'm starting to get some where, been using my usb modem all this time , never used a router before.

The ones in the computer.
The program I use has the ability to see the "active" NIC's MAC addresses.
It also see the "inactive" NIC's MAC addresses.
The desktop's & laptops I use have a average of 8 NIC's.
1-2 Active and 6-7 Inactive ones.

I spoof ALL of them (active & inactive)

We'll sounds like you got it going on and I got a little work to do, I'm gonna get it cracking, thanks for that info.

Hercules 03-30-2010 08:27 AM

Now I get it. The IP address is the general area, but the mac address is my computer's one and only address or name. So the spoofer tells the world my fictitious name but the real me still gets the data in and out. Modern

OfficialGenius 03-30-2010 09:20 AM

^^That's pretty much it I believe. Couldn't explain it better myself. It's confusing at first.
