Can paypal tell ?

Hey Everyone, as you can tell iam new here and just trying to get back into things with Paypal and ebay... but i ran into a lil delma yesterday and wanted to hear the best advise from you guys... well here goes!

Can Paypal tell your using a simongift card to verfy your location?

i just try to purchase a pair of kicks from a website using my paypal account and when i notice only options where echeck or Creditcard i choose Echeck and then i got a notice saying Limted.... Will my paypal account be ok after i plug in the code from the 1.95 charge ? or will they lock me again if i try to purchase the sneakers again?

thanks for reading! :-)

The expuse number (from the 1.95 charge) confirms that you're the owner of the debit card on file. What kind of notice did you get? That's odd that you're limited while buying something.

To answer your question, no paypal doesn't know if it's simon, or vanilla visa, etc... they just want the number, exp date, cvc and brand to match (visa, mastercard)

thanks First Edition for your responce !

the notice that i got actualy is when i log into my paypal account after i try to make the purchase, (Not the normal email) cause after i try to purchase the sneakers an error message came up on the website (an offcial website that i have purchase from in the past) Stating to either use another payment method or contact paypal..... so i found it very strange for that to happen so i then went back into my paypal account thats verified & confirm address with my offical name and phone number and the notice was there stating "We have detected some unusual activity associated with a bank account
linked to your PayPal account."..... and the bank account was already confirm so the other option to "Resolve" was "Confirm my location"... so i guess i shall wait till Sat since this was done yesterday.......ummmm Shall keep you posted......once again i found it odd as well while buying i got limited and so quickly! smh.... thanks again First Edition!

Typically when they want to verify your location the computer will call you and give you a code that you will have to input into Paypal. I have had them switch it up and give me a code on Paypal and then they called me and had me enter it into the phone. Either way it is simple and computerized so you aren't actually talking to any real live Paypal agents.

If that is the only thing they are requesting to resolve your account then the expuse code from the credit or gift card you registered with Paypal won't have anything to do with it.

I understand what you mean Cardfelon, i check again today when i plug in the expuse code today and it said "Unusual activity with my account" which is why it was limited.... and to confirm the location with my card was one of the options, the other option said "Proof of address".... so its fully restored now and i was able to send out an echeck, does any1 know how often and when your able to send "instant transfers"?
