I have a question regarding using web browsers like opera mini, or even cloud browse on the iphone.

Do they broadcast the IP from the device you are using? Or is it technically proxied via opera? Because when I do a ipburger.com while using opera mini I get an ip associated from miniopera.net.

Could I use this to hide my IP? Or is this not a safe practice. Especially since I do check things from my iphone or blackberry. Just wondering if anyone has some incite on this.

I don't use Opera Mini myself, but I believe they still give away your XFF header so I doubt it would work. This is the same reason AOL broadband apparently won't work now, even though it changes your IP.
