Got Hit with a MC081, help

Hi, had one of my account hit with the MC081 Notice yesterday. The thing is usually you will just need to provide ID, proof of address and photos to show you have the items.
This time round they asked for invoice as proof you have the item in your possession. I have never had eBay ask for invoices, is this a new thing?
Anyways I sent off all docs but I have not heard anything back.

Usually they respond within 4 hours, and the only time eBay takes its time is when the account is a dirty account in their eyes.

Also I called them and the person who I spoke to said they cannot discuss anything with me and I should wait. They wouldn't even tell me if they received the fax or not :(

What are my chances of getting this back? is the time factor just me being paranoid or is there something more to it?

Dude 05-08-2010 08:12 AM

Its actually a MC081 CIT Notice that I got, also once I got the susspension letter I emailed back and they responded with a letter requesting details about who I am and that the items I sell are risky. *They are not vero*

oompaloompa 05-09-2010 10:00 AM

Ive had one of those, and the items were bland non vero, bam very 1st listing after account creation, problem is that its so general, you dont know reason...but I wasnt listing anythng risky, so to me it points to account creation method.............

what card and phone did you use? Im trying to narrow down factors

Dude 05-09-2010 10:16 AM

oompa I used the same way as I do with all account and some are fine, did you get the CIT or the MC081 on its own? when was you hit with this? did you supply details? and what was the outcome? and how long it took them to respond?

My guess is you had a new account and you listed something valued over £100 and that is why you got hit with it.

oompaloompa 05-09-2010 10:49 AM

no it was a MC081 on its own...

they didnt respond at all to several ID faxes, so I called them, and I was eventually reinstated after I played the simpering newbie...I have not used account yet though, not until I know the link..

Never had problems like this before, it may be random, I tried to get it out of them by phone, but they wouldnt.....I think it may be vcc or voip (stealthers tools?)

no I listed some things that were about £7, I always start slow and get feedback first, Im in no hurry, so wasnt that for me...

- good process of deduction though!

Dude 05-09-2010 11:00 AM

well my account wasn't done using VOIP, it is a proper land-line, I think your account is fine, you can go ahead and list. If they wanted to close you they would have never reinstated you regardless of how much of a simpering newbie you made yourself out to be.

Did they ever attempt to call you? how long did it take u to get it back from start to end?

oompaloompa 05-09-2010 01:04 PM

took about 3 weeks on and off...

no, they didnt call

anyway, I will call it a one-off, unless it happens again, actually I havent made any accounts since then...so we will see

Dude 05-09-2010 01:58 PM

oh man 3 weeks, thats a bumer, I will call them again and see what happens. Good luck

galvatron 06-22-2010 05:04 PM

HI guys I created 1 new stealth pp acc, got it varified. Then created an ebay stealth acc, I waited about a week then listed 1 listing for 7 days. then listed an item for 30 days that auction is still running.
I created another ebay account linked with the pp acc, listed 1 listing for £10.97 and bam got that account suspended, got hit with a MC081.
So I sent in my passport, bill and a picture of my mug with the item. Its now been 5 days and I have not heard anything back from them. Should I give them a ring? If so can I use any number to call them from or should I sue the sipgate number?

Thnaks.

Dude 06-22-2010 05:39 PM

Did you link the 2nd ebay account to the pp account that is linked to the first account?

galvatron 06-23-2010 04:11 AM

yes I did mate, so its 1 pp with 2 ebay.

Dude 06-23-2010 05:14 AM

There is you answer, it didn't used to matter, I rememebr the good old days where I had 4 account linked to 2 PP accounts. But those days are over, ebay/pp don't like you to have more than 1 account. I don't know why but as soon as they see more than 1 account you are finished.

You are best off to create new accounts

Also the reason they are not responding is because they have linked your account, when they link your account they will never right back to you. You can call them and play dumb and I bet 1 of them will break and say sir your account has been linked.

if this is true than alot of us are in trouble...any one have any advice on this subject?

I was assured this was ok to do.

galvatron 06-23-2010 10:26 AM

I thought it was OK to link up to 2 eBay accounts with 1 pp?
I tried calling them but the number on the fax cover page is a fax number. So I think I sent my fax to the wrong number preveously.
I have sent the fax again to the number on the sheet, but now I need their contact number? I cant find it anywhere.
Also my other account is just fine, its still running, should I dich that account?

Thnaks.

Since i joined the forum it seems like ebay and paypal are really cracking down. Do you guys think this could be the beginning of the end or will there always be ways around these problems?

MtnDew 06-24-2010 05:38 AM

I'm guessing this is an isolated incident with the 2 accounts/1paypal account because nothing has happened to anyone else that I have seen here. you never know though.

Dude 06-24-2010 07:35 AM

guys if you setup new accounts and they get suspended all the account linked to it will too and even if you provide docs they will not let you go. It is best to not link 2 ebay account to 1 PP. Always have 1 ebay and 1 PP, why fix something that is not broken, why link a new ebay account to a good pay pal account that is already linked to a good ebay account :)

arshavin 07-06-2010 05:05 AM

Has anyone got anymore info if this is ok or not?

Hercules 07-06-2010 06:00 AM

In the US it's ok to have two per PP acc. I have noticed (only cause I only do it this way every time) is to go slow and wait for pos-FB then proceed to list again. List a little each day so there's no flood of money going in PP at once. Then I take little chunks of money out of PP each day while I'm waiting for FB and Payments from buyers. And sell nothing remotely vero till after 20 fb's or so and beyond 20 DSR's. I find that when there are no MC Flags along this process that I described above, it's seems to sail along smoother...

Dude 07-06-2010 08:21 AM

No matter how you look at it in eBay and PP we have a company that does completely different to what they state in their T&C. They will find you guilty if they want to and banned you and rest of your family from trading again. All I say is to overcome all this mess is to move slowly and do everything with cautious and most importantly do not link more than 1 eBay and PP together.

People let’s not make life difficult for our self 
