Transferring $ from a stealth acct to your legit acct

I'm wondering if it would raise a reg flag to send funds from my stealth account to my legitimate account.

Obviously the stealth account is going to be frozen sooner or later since I can't verify a SSN, provide a utility bill, credit card bill, etc. But instead of opening another bank account and linking it to the stealth account, I figure I could just transfer the funds to my legit PP acct ...

Or is this not a good idea?

What say you.

lakeman 06-02-2010 12:38 PM

I just replied to your pm. Anyways, no that is not a good idea to transfer funds to another account. The best option is to add your bank account.

All of that can be provided except the SSN.. Be creative! :boink:

I hear ya. But what happens when they do start asking for the SSN? It's been my experience that they ask for that fairly early after account creation ...

There's really no way around it, right? I'll just have to close shop and open another Stealth, basically.

lakeman 06-02-2010 01:17 PM

Some people have been able to get around SSN, most have not.

If they're asking for SSN early on, you're probably selling to much to fast. It's best to spread your sales between a few accounts, they will last longer that way.

There are ways around SSN for a temporary fix (not sure on long term for my method), plus I spread a lot of business over many accounts. Just like Lakeman said "be creative". I for one don't want to share my method, as I am sure most others won't want to either.

Sharing is caring. :)

There are ways around the SSN. If you search the threads on this subject you will find the answers you are looking for.

Irule22 06-02-2010 03:28 PM

The point of my thread above wasn't to gloat or anything except to point out that there ARE options.

Just an idea for next time, open a PayPal account under your real name or nickname as mentioned in eBay Stealth.

Then use bank accounts like (ING direct) where you can open (up to 16?) sub-savings accounts to use with different PayPal accounts.

You just open one ING account, but with that account with seriously two clicks you can open a new sub-account that has it's own routing and account number to use with PayPal or whatever.

healthnut88 06-05-2010 03:03 PM

I've been reading some of the old posts about ING and some problems with them. Guess those issues have been worked out and it is safe with them now?

lakeman 06-05-2010 03:33 PM

Healthnut, ING only allows deposits in similair variations of your name.

oompaloompa 06-05-2010 03:52 PM

you can send money to another paypal with bank attached, but there are risks....newer accounts and large amounts are not a good idea.

GreenBean 06-05-2010 08:54 PM

transferring from stealth to real will create a LINK. That's the most dangerous word to remain in stealth mode successfully.:fight:

jbluntz 06-05-2010 09:17 PM

How do you come up with 16 variations your own name? does that include 16 variations of the same address as well?

oge 06-05-2010 10:56 PM

easy just miss or add letters 16 different times No the address doesn't have to be but you can it's easy.

Example: Joe Blow

Joe Hoe
Hoe Joe
Jo Ho
Ho Jo
Joesph Flow
Joey Blow
JoJo Blow
Blow Joe
Jo Blow
Jo Bow
Jo Jo Blow
Joe Low
Jo B. Low
Joey Lo
Hoho Jo
Joesph B. Blow

Etc.
Etc.

GreenBean 06-05-2010 11:45 PM

'Etc' is such a good variation lol :thumb:

oge 06-06-2010 12:03 AM

Your lucky you aren't in the US or do I need to make an special "Aussie" trip?

mcjerjer 06-06-2010 02:04 AM

so how is making Joe Hoe into Joey Lo for example helping in terms of verification?

jbluntz 06-06-2010 04:16 AM

Maybe because it sounds similar when you say it I would guess.

I agree with you, it is not good generally, forum is correct with advice ..but I have done it before and its not raised flags for me

I re-use names and address twice only..and dont use Scrappy Coco, its already taken..

jbluntz 06-06-2010 04:26 AM

So I guess that must be the only time they look at other things on your computer, if that wasn't true then they would suspend all your customers at the same time.

GreenBean 06-06-2010 04:38 AM

@ommpappa, you might, I might. But the minute 'we' say it's doable it causes a problem by getting an account linked. I dont do a transfer of funds per se;) Rose by any other name is still a rose:pop2:

The OP talked of borrowing someone's SSN so why would he want to compromise his account with such a transfer?
