Default New account, how should I go about it?

I've got a new ebay and paypal account. Both are registered under my business name, a few months old now. 12 buying feedback.

I have a legit product that I am selling online, (vintage audio gear, not vero registered). Thinking that once I get some feedback I will supplement this with a few import products. After I sell off my stock that should leave me around 60 feedback.

The first product i'm looking at selling is not a fashion or designer item, it's music related. And consequently while I can make some cash flipping it, it is certainly nowhere near the margins you see for people slinging f@kes. I have only seen this product sell once in the last month or so for 2300$. The manufacturer is a registered vero member.

I'm a little worried about having this product only be sold once in the last month. Is it possible that EVERY listing for this item is removed? It would be nice if I could sell one of these items even once every month (or bi-monthly even). If I get a few items like this and sell one a week there is the rent covered and a bit o' tuition.

Finally, how fast can I scale up my sales? I would rather keep this account around even if its only bringing me in 800$ a month profit, rather then pop out 8k in a week and lose it.

Hows the watch market? Dangerous territory?

Lot of questions in one post.

You don't to separate your shtuff over various accounts. Try and test - rarely will you get answers for what works since people (who are business savvy) can't be primed to let out too much valuable info. I have no insight into audio gear sadly =(

In terms of audio gear, unless you are specific, who's to say what works - 1 listing in completed auctions might be that it's not popular or is vero-removed. Only way to try it out. Let us know how it goes.

Watch market is rough - hope you aren't thinking of ph akes for that. you'll get chewed up fast. Look up the watches for sale - lot of ones from overseas that are cheap with ok shipping so tough to compete with.

On another note, I am always looking to try experimental sales so if you want, you can PM to test out something worthwhile - with a cut of course =)
