Vero asking for info question

When VERO ask for you to email/fax them info regarding the legitimacy of your source what exacktly do you send them? Do they ask for receipts of every single item you have listed? Also once you have provided them legit info and they confirm it and you go back to selling, is your eBay account much less likley to get hit again by VERO for the same items?

Any one who has had experience dealing with this please reply :hail:

yes you need to send all the receipts or supplier info, sometimes they want originals in the post. Whatever they ask for, once they have accepted this as legit (and it isnt always guaranteed) you will not get hassled from that particular member.

Each VERO member is different. Some of them once you provide all of the info requested and it is verified your name will be added to the list of approved sellers. And then there are others who even if they have acknowledged that your source is legit will continue to get your listings taken down until you just get suspended by Ebay. So without revealing what particular brand or manufactuer you are talking about it is hard to give you a 100%concrete answer.

This Post by Cardfellon is 100% Correct. EVERY Manufacturer knows EXACTLY how their products get Distributed.

A Lot of Manufacturers Absolutely Forbid Legit Registered Resellers from Posting Their items for sale on Ebay, Therefore the Authencity of the item is NOT in Question, the simple fact that the Manufacture does NOT want their items listed on Ebay is.

Other manufactures simply want to Verify the Authencity of the Items by verifing that your source is Approved by them.

I have written MANY Detailed Posts here on All the Various Distribution Techniques used by Manufactures.

I have also written about picking items to sell That are more VERO Safe based on the Distribution Technique Rather than the item itself.

Go into some of my past posts on The "Wholesale Thread", read them, I think you will find them Very Useful.

yes, I suffered this particular calamity with my original accounts....genuine items, approached rights owner after a takedown, they didnt want to play ball, they never actually admitted to not wanting goods on ebay, as I suppose if that got out officially it could be legally challenged.

I am not sure about UK Law, but I do Know that here in the U.S. If a Person initiates an Action That Violates a Coporate policy that the Person who Initiated the Action had No reasonable way to Know that they were Violating a Coporate Policy it is aganist the Law for that Coporation to Willfully cause Loss or harm to the Violator.

So if you are in a Situation with a VERO Member who Causes you to get Suspended from Ebay and Refuses to Explain to you Why they asked Ebay to take Down your Item and cause you suspension, you can tell them that the law Prohibits this and that they MUST Explain to you why they reported you item AND Ask Ebay to reinstate your account.

That Does NOT Mean that you can continue selling the Item, because the second time around is different, You DID Know about the Manufactures Policy reguarding that item.

If that's true, that might be very helpful...Thanks!

I personally do not think it is worth bothering with legal action there are plenty more products out there....

It is True, the problem is that it gets Expensive. It only helps with some Companies that Just might not want to chance the Litigation, for the same reason, It can get expensive.

Unless it is worth it , This should Be used as some type of "Threat" or Tactic that Just might move a Company to Do the right thing.

Yeah, that's what I am going to use it for if I need to "as a thread"
