What happens if I don't use a VPN when registering an account in Canada?

I just registered a Canadian Paypal account (I'm in the US, with a US IP address) without a VPN. Then I linked my Entropay virtual credit card to Paypal without any problems at all. I also registered a Canadian eBay account without problems and all I have to do now is the phone call verification.

My question is, will eBay/Paypal suspend or limit me for this once I start selling? I don't believe there are any rules that say you MUST have a Canadian IP address to register/sell in eBay's Canadian market if you're a US user. I mean, they haven't suspended me yet, although I haven't sold anything yet, but what if you're on vacation in another country or something? If anyone has first-handedly, personally tried doing this, can you verify that it will/will not work?

Thanks

i think they will suspend you when you start selling

Sorry

No you can't use a Canadian account in the US, they would suspend it. If that were possible, we would all have out of country PayPals so we could bypass the SSN requirement.

Are you 100% sure about that? Have you personally tried registering a Canadian account in the US yourself and verified to see if it worked? Because I just finished talking to an eBay rep. and she said it was ok. I explained to her that I had two residences (one in the US and one in Canada), and that I would be heading off to my Canadian residence in a few weeks but wanted to get a head start listing items from the US. I hoenstly don't know if I'll get suspended or not and I'm scared to even start listing but the eBay rep certainly made it seem like it was okay.

Does not hurt to try, the situation is explainable if a limitation occurs so you should be ok, they still might try to force the SSN on you though since you are an "american citizen".

if you call and tell them something upfront it is different to them thinking something is up and limiting you due to location, you should be ok
