the sort code and account number I gave to them was my real sort code and account number, so what are they talking about invalid etc...?

is it because the name I put did not match the name on my actual bank?

Maybe, maybe not. What type of account was it? To succeed it should be a current account. It MUST accept the direct debit mandate to work with paypal.

Now the name being different could happen if it was lloyds bank.

Imhim, this does happen from time to time with Paypal.

I had exactly the same thing on several occassions. Seems to mainly happen with savings accounts as opposed to bank accounts.

All you have to do is add the same account again and wait 3 days for the deposits again.

I did this and have had no problems since.

However if you get the same message again and the account is removed again simply re add it to your Paypal account. It wont cost you anything at all. (in fact you will be in profit as Paypal give you a few pence each time)

Trust me. Add it again then confirm deposits. It will be fine.

This is one of those "glitchy issues" This seems to be more common with banks like HSBC and First Direct. Simply gets triggered but is easily rectified.

erm... I tried to re-add it... it said "this account is disabled from re-adding it to my probile etc etc... If I want to re-add this sort code and account number, please fax my statement which shows the paypal deposits in my account along with the ID of the paypal account (drivers licence or passport)..."


It was a NATWEST ONLINE SAVERS ACCOUNT or something like that...

My advice is bin this account. Saver accounts sometimes have this issue.

Register for a proper bank account - loads out there just do a google search.

Go through the list and pick a new one you have not used before

Or go to money supermarket.

They have blocked this savers account from being registered on any paypal account.

just add a diff. one (same message) i tried this with one that was considered working in the forum and they rejected it :mad2:

it was on my bank side...added a different bank and have had no problems...:pry:

what happens when your listing gets removed, and ebay says they will call you MC010, but they dont...?

My ebay account is still up and running they just havent called me yet...
