Question about IP addresses.
 

I'm feeling paranoid right now for some reason and have a quick stupid question. I've been switching eBay accounts and user accounts frequently lately and I was wondering about something. Can eBay only track your ip address if you're logged in or can they track just by being online?

For example if I'm on UserAccount1 and my ip address is 111.111.111 and I'm logged into eBayAccount1. Than I log out of eBayAccount1. Now keep in mind I'm still on UserAccount1 if I than switch to ip address 222.222.222 and I'm still on UserAccount1 can eBay track that I've changed my IP address?

I've been doing it this way for awhile now and I'm worried that the accounts are linked. Should I only switch IP addresses on the UserAccount that I'm going to use? Than that wouldn't make sense because if I log into UserAccount2 and still have the 111.111.111 ip address I would need to switch to ip address 222.222.222 anyways.

Wait...I think I just answered my own question, am I missing something?

I think i know what your asking but not sure. ;) i always change my ip when i revisit to be on the safe side because i believe the pics as your searching give the site certain info as to your ip and info on your computer. I could be wrong....but i always change it.

always been curious on this myself. basically im just trying to answer your very first question. the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs i think you answered yourself :)
