| | Different IP addresses for different eBay/pp accounts - is it MUST? Hi,
I was wondering if I'm going to be fine with just one new IP for 2 new eBay accounts...
I have different user accounts for these 2.
Dial up doesn't work for me and I don't see any other option for now.
Thanks!!!

Kia | This will not work. You need a different IP address for each account. If you have 2 accounts sharing the same IP, then they will both get shut down, usually within a few hours. It is very easy for them to spot this. Did you get the Ebook? Remember to also change your user id on your computer and to watch your cookies and flash cookies. Also, make sure all personal info and banking info is different with the two accounts. Can't share any information. Can't share the same phone number, address, ip, or anything like that. It all must be different.
One option for you could be to simply unplug your modem and wait an hour or so, then plug it back in. You should get a new ip address. Depending on your isp, you might be able to change it manually. I can't, but I've heard some say that they can. You can also try the /release and /renew, but most likely you will get the same ip again unless someone else takes it. Unplugging your modem for a while will ensure that it changes. |

No good Young Lady, you need different IP Addresses for each account, Find ANY Post here made by a Member called Vic Velcro, at the Very Bottom of ALL His Posts you will see a Small Link that is titled IP, click on it, it will offer you full instructions on how to get the Job done Quickly. |
Thank you so much! Well, I thought so. Wanted to make sure.
Yes, I read the book. I found out how to manually change my IP address.
I guess, I'll have to do it every time I log in into any of my accounts.
I hope different IPs every time I login will not be a problem for eBay.
Thank you again!

| MadSam | 07-26-2010 12:24 PM | I haven't had a problem with different IPs, trouble is I think I've used SO many IPs that I've used some that someone else who has been banned has used. Statistically possible on the number of IPs I've used. |
| pending | 08-11-2010 07:21 PM | can you log in from a proxy server? |
| SaiJin | 08-11-2010 07:26 PM | Pending - No, do not use a proxy . It's an instant kill. |
| newtools | 08-11-2010 11:05 PM | It's fairly easy to change your ip especially if you are using a router. Just log in to your router from your web browser and change the last 2 numbers of your mac address and submit. then unplug your modem and router and wait 30 secs and plug it back in. When your modem and router come up again refresh your routers configuration page and you will see a new ip address. no need to wait. |
Thanks for your help!
I'm still confused though. I've learned how to change my IP address, it's really easy.
I also learned how to get same IP every time I need.
But they are always from the same area my hometown :(
What if according to my new account I live in a different state? Will it be a problem?
Should I "move" somewhere closer to my real place?
Please advs |
| Stigger | 08-18-2010 08:03 PM | you can get mac address from anywhere in the world
which in turn produces ip address , it is something i have been trying out for accounts in other country's but to find the i.p's in that country i want the mac address so i use a fre little program i found on google
not sure how time consuming it would be to get an actual area, i tend to do it the other way round, google the i.p and make the stealth account round that area (neighborhood). |
Really? Never heard of anything like that! What is this program called?
Thanks,
