Using old unused ssn for new "legit" PP?

Just trying to get some feedback on this particular question ...

Our recently suspended Ebay account (in my name) was *way* pre 11/07. The attached PP account (in my hubby's name) is still up, but with a neg balance after everything hit the fan.

Neither of our ssn's were ever used, as they weren't required back then. Do you think it would be safe to use one or both of our real ssns to open new "legit" PP accounts with DBA & totally different info??

Is there a way they could link with our ssns if we never knowingly gave them to PP??
