I just found a ebay acct. from 9/06..advice?
 

Hello, i was digging through some old email addresses and found that i registered a ebay account back in september 2006. I never bought or sold anything with it. 0 feedback. Also the info on it is from my old address i used to live at. I also never had a paypal linked to it. Will changing the info on it right away trigger ebay? Im thinking of just changing the phone number and email. Or would it be ok since its really old. Im also thinking of setting up google checkout with it. What do you guys recommned i do with it? Thanks

I would recommend first buying som cheap things and easing it back into existence. Don't go all gung ho and lose this gem.

I don't 100% agree with rsot. Would need more information. Do you have any accounts that could be linked to that account? Changing addresses and phone numbers is normal. People move all the time.

How do you have it shipped to you if you useing a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address?

also u will need to know the secert ? as well cause when u turn it into a sellers account u will eather have to have access to the phone # on file or add a new one after verfiying the secert ?. This only applys on dorment older accounts.

i would have to agree, i think it's more than plausible that someone would have moved address in the last 4 years, i think the account could be triggered/flagged as soon as you log in after been dormant for so long, Such an account needs to be handled with caution, before doing anything, i would want to make sure the details i enter when i changed them would be to ones i could produce ID for. then i would change the details the next time i logged in and start to buy a few things over time and gradually sell one or two things, but like i say i think this account would go under review so if you want to keep it .....

PS : I would refrain from logging in as much as possible until you get i.d sorted and know exactly where your going with it .
