| | | smooger | 08-02-2010 08:26 PM | 2x ebay +paypal acts limited/suspended withint 2-3 weeks/Used stealth book Ive used all the steps from the ebay stealth book too a tee yet both ebay stealth accounts suspended and paypal accounts limited within 2-3weeks.
Got hit with the MC113 for the ebay acts and the paypal acts need photo id,
address proof, suppliers invoice+info plus a few other things.
Ive had another paypal account that required these docs and modified them in but they did not reinstate the accounts.
I try to keep the selling low key say 400-500pounds for the first month. Although these 2 accounts were over 1 year old left to mature before selling.
Feedback 100% and had about 12 before selling.
It seems to me ebay+paypal are cranking up these security checks. Would be grateful if anyone could advise or if anyone has got through months of selling without getting hit with suspensions or limited accounts, Thanks! |
| slapped | 08-03-2010 12:11 AM | sounds like you need to read the book again |

Diff ip address each time logged on via 3 dongle
Diff Pc user account for each ebay+paypal account(no need to clear cookies)
Build up 100% positive feedback with legit purchased items
Let account mature for couple months in my case both accounts over a yr old
before selling
Start Selling very slowly 400-500pnds first couple months
New name, email, address, phone number, bank act, credit cards for each ebay+paypal account
Verify paypal account with bank act deposits, phone number code, credit cards
Write down all ip address logged on with make sure no same ip address
Thats off top my head maybe a few more.
I think it maybe the brand memory cards I was selling like Sandisk, Kingston etc All Uk original brands but may be an issue with Vero, any ideas?? |

Well memory, in ANY Flavor is a VERY High Risk caragory, were you asked to produce Invoices? And if so were they from LEGIT Suppliers, do you know if they checked with those suppliers about you? |

Invoices are not a problem as they are legit, its the stealth photo id i can never get past. Was thinking of selling non branded memory cards maybe will catch less vero attention or some other product. |
Non branded works - will distract the competition who might be reporting for the sake of it. |

Ok so you DO Know why you accounts are going down, Its the Photo ID.
Well I will tell you that Ebay is going to want a Photo ID from just about EVERY SELLER at some Point, if you are selling things like Branded Memory it is a sure bet that they will be looking for Photo ID. So you either must imporve the Quality of you Photo ID's or Try this:
Create a NEW account set (Ebay/Paypal) and start to sell on it Immediatly, only this time Sell EITHER Items NOT FOUND on Websites like DHGate or Items That have NO BRAND NAME and that ARE NOT Designed Exactly like a Famous Branded Item, Im pretty sure that the account will last |

Good idea, was thinking the exact thing of selling non brand items.
Improve the photo id may help get back these 2 limited paypal accounts so worth a shot. Was that a suggestion you can help with directly? |
| turbo | 08-04-2010 07:38 PM | Improve photo ID? So do some people actually attempt to use this? |
Are you using the same 3 Dongle? Quote:

| jbluntz | 08-04-2010 09:54 PM | Like rsot said above non branded is the best way go, I sell nothing but non brand items on on new accounts now until I get at least 50-100 feedback, I got hit with mc010 on 1 of them talked this guy at ebay and even told him my supplier was dhgate and he reinstated my account just told me to be careful of the non-authentic items on there, he sounded like the same guy I talked to before from another account, I think he recognized my voice and liked what I was doing lol. |

| forummember | 08-05-2010 03:51 PM | The memory cards might be the problem. Also make sure you've read stealth fully. |

| forummember | 08-07-2010 03:52 PM | Best thing to ensure a new IP in the U.K. is to get a dongle. |

| banned4life | 08-08-2010 01:40 PM | hello everybody, I am new to this board but can speak on these two issues. I am a a tech in former life Quote:

According to the stealth guide they can not read your MAC add, can anyone else chime in and speak to this? |
Best way is to have 1 laptop for 1 ebay account :) Quote:

Mac is the driver hardware for the device which you use to connect to the Web, so yes each dongle will have a unique MAC address Quote:

| rcdrivertim | 08-10-2010 11:26 AM | Does anyone know about this MAC address issue? I have separate user accounts on the same laptop and use a cellular modem...I use the NIC card BUT, only on non-eBay business...Other than that I disable it and use the cell modem... |
| vokonta | 08-10-2010 02:17 PM | Surely, they can't read your MAC address. Can anyone prove me wrong with facts?
cos it seems we are all getting paranoid that we assume PP and ebay can tell the size of our d*icks. |

If Amazon can, and they CAN, Thats Fact, Why can't Ebay |
eBay Can read your Mac, if you want people to come out and say they can't so it makes you feel better about using multiple accounts on 1 computer then I can pretend that they can't but the truth is they can :(
As for facts, I have had multiple accounts blocked when using the same dongle and trust me it was the dongle that caused it
As for size of our d*icks, well I hope they can't or a lot of people at eBay will be jealous of mine :D |
| vokonta | 08-11-2010 08:48 AM | Well then..now on a very serious note, how can one solve the MAC address problem when using multiple accounts on dongle? Seems the stealth book needs updating or have i misread it cos i felt all was good to go on a dongle.
Pls this is serious talk now ...forget my d*ick size joke...lol
Lets tackle my questions pls |
There is no correct answer because there are software out there that can spoof your MAC but you must ask yourself, how reliable are they?
As mentioned above the simplest and safest way is to use 1 laptop per account, what you have to ask yourself is how valuable do you see your eBay accounts. If you use eBay as full time then I see no reason why you shouldn't invest £200 - 300 per account and just see it as a business expenses. Then you know this is a SOLID set of account.
If you do eBay part time for this and that, then you just use the software.
Also remember the Stealth book is just a guide line *very good one* the rest depends on what you sell, value, amount, experience and etc.
Hope this helps :D |
| oompaloompa | 08-13-2010 01:18 PM | Bueno, some good comments.........all I can see us doing is, once one account gets banned, then spoof the mac and the rest of the accounts will have that mac BUT if they LOG the address from the get-go, then all shared-mac accounts are linked regardless...as slapped says, if amazon does it, so can ebay...its a real issue
and as for one PC per account, jeez I wouldnt be able to move for PCs in that case.... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:44 PM. | |
