How to manage your eBay accounts when you are in vacation.

Hi, I've been searching in the forum for the answer. But I still have some questions. I am going to another country for vacation. I have few eBay accounts, I can use auctiva to relist item when I am in other country. But how about the buyer's questions? They ask question via eBay message. Is there any way to answer their questions without logging in ? Thank you guys

Dont ebay send you an email when you get a message.

I think the buyers email address is also included, so maybe you could reply via email rather than log into ebay. ALthough im not 100% sure, so dont quote me on it.

:)

Yes but some of them don't include email. And I am looking for a better solution . I heard about pushauction , it can reply buyer's questions without log in to eBay. But I don't know if this is good

No they don't give out emails of people asking questions because that can lead to business being done outside of eBay. You can just reply to the email that you get send by eBay with the question, although I've noticed that the reply doesn't always get back to the person asking the question.

I wouldn't touch my accounts abroad, too much of a risk.

Have you heard about 'pushauction' ?

GreenBean 08-07-2010 07:00 AM

We are checking this out at the moment (pushauction).

How many accounts are we taking about AND more importantly how long is the vacation? Whereabouts are you going? There's a lot of factors to
determine what to do correctly :pop2:

:dance:Thanks for the reply. I have 4 ebay accounts. I am going to America for 2 months. My brothers is in Hong Kong. They can help me to withdrawal the money from paypal. But I want to check the email and manage the accounts by myself. I've open a thread about pustauction, but I don't know why I can not access to the thread. (I am a subscribe member).

I just jack my prices up to 10X the item value and none sale.
When I return home from vacation I put the price back where it will sale.
DONE....

MadSam 08-10-2010 08:43 AM

I thought I was the only one who did that!

moloko 08-10-2010 12:16 PM

Where is service called logmein, so you can check this out. You can log to computer it is like teamviewer, but it is better because you dont need help from enything from the computer you leave.

I use auctiva, so it solves all the problems.

I got suspended my paypal account just for logging in from a different country. Don't do it.

My solution is to leave the local PC on with LOGMEIN installed, then you can use it from anywhere in the world with the same IP you always use with paypal/ebay.

I was even able to remotely switch IPs too, being able to use different ebay ids (but needed one person on place to reset the modem)

It would be best if you have somebody that can go to your place to turn on the PC or reset if something happens.

Otherwise you will spend your vacations, like I did, phoning and faixing stuff to paypal... not precisely sun & beaches.. :(

I think it is one of the best ideas, because if you are going on vacation and want really relax and enjoy your free time it is better to forget ebay and paypal :typing: :)

I know that. It's just such a distant word for me, since I never get holidays/vacation ;)

Before stealth I went to Hawaii for a week and I called eBay and PayPal and let them both know I would be in Hawaii on those given dates. I operated both from there without a hiccup. PayPal girl told me it was good I called because they would have locked me down as soon as I tried anything for my protection

Now again, this was a real account. But same rules would apply. People do travel. You are not the first seller to go on vacation. So if you are not afraid to call I would do that

jamblix 09-26-2010 04:32 PM

I saw a listing today and on top of the auction page there was a header that said something like "This seller is not available until two weeks, all questions and shipments will take place when the seller returns". Anyone know anything about this?

jamblix 09-26-2010 04:36 PM

Oh, I was totally off LOL  by a lot. It actually said "The seller of this item is away until November 7, 2010. You may purchase this item, but there may be a delay in processing your order."

Item number: 170521888800 if you wanna check it out.

Maybe you could try something like this?

pod 09-26-2010 04:43 PM

Pretty sure there is a vacation mode somewhere you can check. Sounds like thats what that seller has done
But I wanted to still operate so I never looked at that. Vacation mod tells buyers you are away and cant do anything.
